Airra tilurned slowly trying not to hurt herself. She smiled.

"Hey Sarmen, im all good." She said with a reassuring smile. She then took a deep breath and looked at him intently.

"Why are you two here anyways." She said seeing Snow stand in the corner. She smiled.

'well atleast im not alone.' she thought with a smile.

Snow chuckled.

"Soldier boy here was concerned about you." Snow said with a lopsided grin. "And i figured if I didn't stick around, we'd find him collapsed on the floor by your bed."

Sarmen smiled slightly and threw an empty water bottle at Snow, who caught it easily.

"I have better training than that." Sarmen objected.

He patted the wall behind him.

"The wall is just as comfortable as the floor."

Snow laughed.

Airra smilled and winced in pain. She took a deep breath and sighed she urged herself to get off the bed and start walking. But couldnt. She sighed. Her wings were in pain and she didnt know why. She grunted and turned to the others.

"What happened with my wings?" She asked laying back.

Sarmen shook his head and Snow shrugged.

"Raines wanted to take a look at them, is all I know." Snow said.

Sarmen suppressed a grimace. He doubted Airra would take that well.

Airra sighed, she put her had to her face.

"Its stupid. Why didnt any of ya'll just ask? I wouldve let you guys. I would havetold you everything about them, if i knew." Airra said as she stood up from the bed in pain.

"What? Did you guys think i wouldnt tell you anything cause im a new person and cant be trusted? Cause it really seemed like it." Airra saidas she slipped on her shoes and exited the infirmary.

"Finally, a place i thoughti fit in, i ended up getting lied to. Wow backstab hurts." She said to herself, seeing if she could get off the plane.

Sarmen leaned his head back against the wall for a moment then bashed his head into the wall in frustration. He should have thought of a better way to break the news to Airra. Snow was moving to go after Airra, but Sarmen waved him off.

"Let me try." he said, hopping up from his seat and setting off to catch up with Airra.

When he caught up to her, he fell into her pace as they walked.

"Listen, I don't know what happened, but would you please give me some time to find out?" He asked in a pleading voice. "I have served under Raines for a long time. He wouldn't do this if he didn't think he had to. If you stay, I'll make sure this doesn't happen again."

"How do i know you guys wont drug me again?" Airra said. She paused and then smiled. She knew she couldnt stay mad, these were her friends now, she fit in with them.

"i overeact alot." Airra said as she smiled. Sarmen was always there for her and she liked when he was around, she felt as if she had a friend who understood her.

"Well, this time it's okay." Sarmen said. "You barely know any of us and Raines lest of all. Trust needs to be earned."

He smiled a bit.

"I can't promise for the others."

He paused a moment.

"Maybe Snow. He's a solid brick with a good heart."

He thought a moment then nodded.

"What I do know is that we're in something together. If we are going to get through it, we need to relay on each other. You can relay on me. And I believe that I can relay on you."

He smiled again.

"You still got your head on pretty good, even after what we've been through lately. I'm glad I got someone like that watching my back."

"And im glad i have you watching me." She said as she smiled and sighed. She sat on the bench and pulled her legs to her chest, she placed her head on her knees. She looked at Sarmen and sighed.

"So, have you figured out anything about our focus? Because i really dont know much, it felt like years since ive been sleeping" she said as she Scratched her head and smiled.

Sarmen sat down beside Airra and took a deep breath.

"I got another look at the vision I got when I was branded. You and I are in some city. Can't tell if the city is an old ruin, or a modern city in flames. Something big gets up, I shout and you change. Can't really describe what you changed in to, though it was you."

Airra thought for a moment.

"Hmm. You mean like how the eidolons change?" Airra asked as she looked at her wings.

She was a tad but confused but she waned to find out more about what the crystal meant amd what it was needed for, but she needed Sarmen to figure it out with her.

Sarmen shrugged.

"From what I've heard of Eidolons, yes." he said. "I must admit, I don't know a lot about them. What I do know is that you need a crystal to call them."

He rubbed his index finger along his nose.

"I would guess we would need the same, but that's far from certain."

He thought silently a few seconds more.

"Fang seems to be the most knowledge able about the Eidolons. Think she could help?"

Airra nodded.

"That's a great idea Sarmen! I would've never thought to go ask Fang,I don't know why." She said blankly as she scratched her head. She took a deep breath and looked at Sarmen. She smiled.

"Well, if we want to find more things out then whats the point of waiting here? Lets get going Sarmen!" She tried to act cheerful, Sarmen looked a bit down to her.

Maybe he's still on about how I acted out earlier.. She thought.

Sarmen took a deep breath. Airra being sedated as she had been bothered him. What was going on?

He glanced at Airra. He knew he needed to not let his worry effect her too. He stretched again and yawned like he was still a little sleepy.

"Ok, Let's hope she's awake." he said with a smile.

He and Airra took a few corridors to Fang's room. Sarmen hit the little door bell and waited for Fang.

There was a loud thump behind Fangs door, she then opened it. Fang rubbed her eyes.

"Yes?" Fang asked realizing it was Airra and Sarmen. Airra smiled.

"Sorry to bother you, but we really wanted to ask you a question." Fang smiled, she was glad Airra was out of the infirmary and couldn't be mad. She opened the door wider and motioned for the two to enter.

Sarmen motioned Airra to go first and followed her in.

"Sorry for waking you up, Fang." Sarmen said. "But we need some info. We are trying to figure out more about the Crystal marks we have. Since the seem to have a connection to the Eidolons, we'd like to know more. You seem to know a lot. What do you know about the Eidolons?"

Fang sat on her bed and sighed.

"Well, Eidolons are summons you use in battle, when your team members are down, but you knew that. Also, it isn't easy getting and Eidolon, when they appear from your crystal, you must fight them and show them you are worthy to take control of them. Bahamut is a hell of an example, i fought him and now he is mine to use, that's an advantage of being a L'cie. Next time we go into battle, ill show you Bahamut's crystal brand. Then maybe it will help you guys a lot." Fang said as she hoped the two understood a little more.

Sarmen scratched is chin as he listened to Fang. When she finished, he took a moment to process what she said.

"Okay." He said after the moment. "Some of what Airra and myself have been able to understand, it seems that we can change into something similar to a Eidolon. The question is how similar are we? Have you ever heard of something like this happening?"

Fang shook her head.

"Nope, never, not even on Gran Pulse. The person you would want to ask is Vanille. She into that old myth stuff about eidolons. Shes out with Lightning and Hope i bet. You shoulf go check it out." Fang said as she layed back on her bed.

Sarmen nodded.

"Fair enough." he said with a sigh.

He had hopped for more info, but things rarely worked out so well. Especially lately.

"Thanks, Fang." he said and meant. "You any idea where we can find them?"

  • Author

"Down in Lindblum. Go ask Snow. He may know" Fang said. Airra nodded and she and Sarmen exited the room. She stepped infront of Sarmen and stopped.

"Sarmen. Do you wanna go look for them? It'll be alot more fun, if we go and find them on our own." She said as she smiled. Her smile faded a little after.

"Unless your too tired. We can wait 'till the morning if you like. Im not tired, after being asleep for a couple days, im not really tired." She said as she turned and looked at the infirmary and sighed.

Sarmen shook his head.

"I'm good." he said."I got enough sleep to go for days with out more."

He smiled at Airra.

"But let's not test that, shall we? Alright, I'm good with looking form them ourselves. I want to stop by my room to get somethings, then we can go looking."

  • Author

Airra smiled. She was glad she would get to go look for the others with Sarmen. She liked being around him, she felt as if she didnt have to hide who she was when she was around him. The two of them walked to Sarmens room and he entered and grabbed some things.

Sarmen quickly put his armor on, but left off the helmet. He grabbed two ration bars and two water bottles. When he came out of the room he offered a water bottle and bar to Airra.

"I figured you'd be hungry after your 'nap.'" He said. "The bar doesn't look like much, but it will keep you going awhile."

  • Author

Airra smiled.

"Thanks im not really hungry but ill hold it 'till i am." She said as she stuffed them in her pockets. She walked down the halls with Sarmen and to the exit.
