It's a promotion for the lower price of the PS3. Basically, Michael is a player who played all those games, and they're toasting him kinda.

I play on the Xbox, but that was quite possibly one of the best console ad's I've ever seen. I like the message. The only thing I didn't like was that some games that go across multiple platforms were showcased such as MW2, Bioshock and so on. Other than that it was a really, really good commercial.

Basically Micheal is an ordinary gamer. The ad is trying to tell people that all of these stories would not be possible without the gamer. It's also a way to tell people that playstation is about the gamer and that they cater to their fans.

I haven't played 99% of the games they showed.....but I still thought that was awesome. xD
