In a world just like our own, there are many magical creatures, both good and bad, and even demons. You can choose to be a witch, (both a guy and girl can be considered a witch) a demon, any magical creature you can think of, or a whitelighter or a dark lighter, both are like guardian angels, white lighters for good witches, dark lighters for evil witches. They can orb (aka teleport) around and heal their charges (people they protect) if you're still confused on anything, you can ask me or just watch the basics of Charmed on YouTube or read it on Wikipedia, cause this rp is basically the show Charmed, with me adding a little twist.

Rules: basic rp rules apply, since Possessing someone may be an essential factor of this kind of rp, just make sure u have their permission.

Application:

Name-

Age-

Family name-(you can be a part of someone's family with their permission and my approval of your application)

Species-(witch, demon, leprechaun etc.)

Powers-(depending on what you are try to stick with one power. Demons usually have fir and energy balls and can teleport, although if your a high level demon, you get to have a special power as well. No invincibility and stuff)

Alignment-

Bio-

Personality-

Optional: Description of your book of shadows, a sort of encyclopedia for magic that has spells, ingredients for potions, how to kill certain demons, etc

(I was kinda hoping to have two siblings to my family, me being the youngest. Or you could be the grandma too. You can start out either knowing about magic, or you could not know about magic. Just throwing that out there in case you need help giving your character a bio) here's mine.

Name-Sean

Age-14

Family name- King

Species-Witch

Powers- along with the usual abilities of a witch to cast spells, he has the ability to freeze time around him for a certain amount of time, and can blow things up, by freezing atoms to freeze things, and accelerating atoms to cause an explosion. The freezing part of his powers doesn't effect good witches.)

Alignment-good

Bio-Sean is part of a family that has had the most powerful witches alive, although it is unknown if he or his siblings will live up to that. His dad was murdered by a demon, and his mom misteriously disappeared. He's living with his grandma, also a witch. He does not yet know he's a witch (but if you want to be one of my siblings, at least one of you has to know about magic. Most likely the eldest, but the middle sibling can choose to know about it or not.) due to the fact that his powers haven't started yet, and the family is hiding magic from him until his powers develop.

Personality-Sean is a very friendly and trusting person who doesn't like to take things seriously. He hates his dad, who died when he was 5, which affects his realtionship with his oldest sibling, since his oldest sibling loved his dad.

(Yeah, no problem. It'll take a minute for me to work up the older sisters states and stuff.) Verge nodded. "Always good to use the classics." he agreed. "Maybe subconsciously used it, an didn't

Sean eventually got home and began to yawn. He tried to forget about what had happened. "I'm starving! How about you?" he asked Verge

"Oh, yes." Verge agreed. "I could eat a horse."

"Don't try it." Susan said, coming around the corner. "I did. It was rather nasty."

She nodded kindly to Verge and gave Sean a neutral look.

"Grandma has been cooking up a storm, so there should be enough food for everyone."

Verge inhaled the sweet smells coming from the kitchen.

"Awesome." he said, smiling.

Usually Sean would eat anything his grandma made, but he suddenly didn't feel in the mood. He wasn't mad, just... Curious. " actually nevermind. you guys go eat, I'm gonna do a little but of... Reading." and went upstairs.

Grandma (I'm gonna call her that now just remember her name is Reneé) came out of the dining room to see where Sean was going. "why is everybody in such a bad mood? Your emotions are giving me headaches."

Verge put up his hands defensively.

"I'm good." he said. "I can't be in a bad mood with your food around."

He ran over and kissed his Grandma, than dashed into the kitchen to smell the food a close range.

Susan looked at Renee for a moment.

"I suppose you want me to try and bring him down?" She asked.

Leon ran up to his room, getting ready for the short trip to Sean's house. In his room, it was an average 14 year-olds. His laptop was still running, a strangley familiar blue guitar sat in a corner, and a picture of him and his father laid on his dresser. Leon smiled, tossing his bag onto his bed, and put on a diffrent shirt. "Come on Leon! Sean's grandmother says dinner will be ready soon." Leon, still happy, ran down the stairs.

"do what you think is right, is all I'm gonna say." grandma said as she turned and went into the kitchen to tend to Verge.

Sean stood at the area where the door that appeared was. "so how do they get in here?" Sean said referring to his family. "is there like a secret password, or something?" he sighed and leaned on the wall. As he did, the wall shimmered away, revealing the door which was open. He fell through. "oh, ok." he said as he got up. There it was. The book of shadows sitting on its usual place, a stand in the center of the room. He grabbed the pretty heavy book and decided to sit on the couch to the side of the room and began to read.

Susan took a deep breath. She didn't want to talk to Sean, but if they were both going to make it through this term, they were going to at least agree to leave each other alone. She looked up to see Verge staring at her.

"What?" she asked.

"He didn't know him." Verge said softly. "Dad died when Sean was five. He doesn't know any better."

Anger at Verge's statement was replaced in Susan by puzzlement.

"You've never involved yourself in Sean's and my problem before. Why now?"

The expression on Verge's face was distant as he shrugged.

"A friend of mine told me wish for something to fix itself isn't always enough. Sometimes you gotta work on it yourself."

Susan was surprised further. For Verge to say something like this about himself was monumental.

"Who's the friend?" She asked.

Verge snapped out of the distant look and smiled sheepishly at Susan.

"She doesn't like me blabbing about her too much." He said, rubbing the back of his head. "I'll introduce you two later."

With that, Verge turned and walked back into the kitchen. Susan took a moment to process what Verge had said. Who was the female that had changed him? Deciding that was a question for later, Susan went upstairs.

She nearly breathing when she saw the secret door. She carefully walked to the door and looked in and saw Sean reading.

"How long have you know?" She asked him.

Sean was startled by Susan and fell off the couch. He got up and brushed himself off. "not that long..." he said

Susan took a deep breath. At least Sean had inherited the King family legacy.

"Good." She said. "At least now you know. Magic is a part of who we are. Once you have control of your abilities, you should feel more at ease with yourself."

Susan walked over and picked up the book of shadows. She dusted it off and handed it to Sean.

"You have been given a gift, Sean. Use it wisely."

She walked over to the stand where the book usually sat and followed some designs in the wood with her finger nail.

"We...have not gotten along well together for sometime. While I believe that are differences can not be compromised, we can at least be...at peace with one another. A simple fact is that I am here for a little while longer. You don't like that and I feel likewise."

She turned and faced Sean.

"But let us at least agree to not fight. Grandma has dealt with that too often before and even Verge is stepping now."

She sighed.

"Will you agree to a truce?"

Sean thought about it. He looked to Susan. "for grandma and Verge's sake. Truce."

Susan nodded. Sean had better sense than she thought.

"Excellent." She said.

She turned to go, but turned back around.

"Leon and his mother will be coming over for diner. We'll call you when they get here."

With that, she left.

He went to the book. "I can't stand not knowing what she thinks of me. Her emotions are so hard to read. I wonder..." he looked in the book for something, anything, and found about what he was looking for. "a truth spell. Lasts for 24 hours, and if you ask anyone a question, they'll have to say out loud the truth. And non magical beings will forget what they've heard when the spell wears off" he kept reading. "unfortuneately it's vice versa too. I have to answer any question asked truthfully too. Not to mention this spell will work for all the people in the house. But I'll risk it. Especially if it means finding out some things..." he took a deep breath and said the spell.

"For those who want the truth revealed,

Open their hearts and secrets unseal

From now until it's now again

From now which the memories end

For those who are now in this house

Only truth will be heard from their mouths"

Verge stiffened as he felt a spell form and was enacted. He wasn't sure what the spell was and it didn't feel like one he had used. Unfortunately, that included many spells in the book of Shadows that Verge had deemed boring. But boring could still mean powerful.

Verge raced up stairs, nearly bowling over Susan as he ran. He stopped at the door frame of the secret room and stared at Sean.

"What did you just use?" He asked, a little out of breath.

"the truth spell." he said as he covered his mouth. "oh crap." to get back at his brother, he asked, "did you take my iPod? Oh and did you kiss that wierd girl Casey last year?"

"Yes, cause mine broke and no, she liked a different guy." Verge said before clamping his hand over his mouth.

He grunted.

"Okay, interesting." He said between his fingers. "Why, no. Not asking. Um, I bet you had a reason for this."

While he did not speak the question, Verge's eye told Sean to treat it as such.

He felt himself compelled to say the answer even though the spell didnt make him.. "I wanna find out why Susan actually hates me. Cause she hated me first. And I wanna find out what happened to dad. And if she knows where mom is." (I know how I said Emily the mom killed herself but I'm changing it to where she disappeared, cause how I'm kinda developing her character implies she would have never killed herself so it makes more sense to say she disappeared. I'm gonna do something with her character later on in the rp you'll see)

(Okay, cool. I'm down with that.)

"Okay." Verge said with a nod, removing his hand from his mouth. "Not the best way to find out the answers to those questions, but okay."

He took a deep breath.

"She...I don't think it is truly hate. Not hate hate. She...doesn't like the way you speak about dad. She and him were very close."

Verge looked down, thinking.

"Since you know about magic, you can here the whole story behind his death. He was one of the major Witches in the world. He had a seat on some sort of council and people often came to him for magical advice and the like. One day, a demon popped up and murdered him. I don't know why. I had still been young in my magic and Dad liked to keep me under wraps."

He looked up at the ceiling. Finding nothing there to help him, he returned his gaze to Sean.

"As for mom, no idea. She just...poof. Gone. I always thought she was doing something for Dad and that she'd be back. But..."

He trailed off.

He thought about this. "... I just... I guess that makes sense. But it's just that he wasn't there for me is what angers me. He was there for Susan, even you, but what do I get? A memory of his face and nothing more? How is that fair?" he closed his eyes. After a moment, he opened his eyes. He changed the subject. He did that a lot. Being afraid of delving to deep into things, he pulls out and changes the subject. "well I kinda used this spell for personal gain, I can already see this is backfiring, I guess I gotta work on not doing that huh?" he said laughing. (just letting you know if you need spells for the rp this link http://users.telenet.be/charmedfans/spells.html has spells from the show. Just ignore the pink haha. I assure u it's a manly show.)

Leon and his mother didn't bother driving, it was easier walking a block or two. Once at Sean's door, Leon repeatedly knocked on the door, doing his normal routine. "Leon, Why must you knock so much when ever you come to Sean's house?" His mother asked, and Leon quickly responded: "Because i can. And Sean finds it funny for some mundane reason."

  • Author

He looked over verges shoulder. "guess that's Leon huh?" Sean said. He went past verge and ran downstairs to open the door.

Verge grimaced. That spell might be a problem for Sean if he didn't turn it off. Best try to get him alone to turn it off. With a dinner party going on, that could make things difficult. Verge followed after Sean down the stairs.

Susan walked to the door and opened it.

"Mrs. Kuroi." She greeted. "Leon. Welcome."

She stepped aside to let them in.

Reneé looked up. "at least some people in this house is feeling happy now." she said referring to the Kuroi's. She walked out of the kitchen. "Hello mrs. Kuroi! I have the dining table set up for us. Come on guys, let's eat!"

Leon nodded, and quietly walked past Susan, not sparing her a glance. "Oh hello Reneé! Why, don't you look lovely this evening." Leon's mother said, happily walking over to speak with Sean's grandmother. With his mom away, Leon then snuck up the stairs, wanting to talk with his friend.

  • Author

Sean was about to go up the stairs as well, but his Grandmother stopped him. "Young man, you are staying down here. We have guests."

Verge stopped Leon at the top of the stairs.

"Sean's already down stairs." He said. "Let's go."

Susan closed the door and took in Leon and his mother. Leon was a little scared of her. He must still remember the time she almost "killed" him. She had been trying out a spell reported to be ineffective on Neko. He misrepresented her actions. Not that she cared.
