Silent Hill: Lost in Darkness -Chapter 8 Complete-

Posted

I was brainstorming on the way home, and my silent hill ringtone went off while I was thinking of doing a fanfic, and said out loud, "That's it!" and a lot of people looked at me strangely.

But anyways, synopsis:

Jason Sunderland is James Sunderland's son, that they didn't let on about in SH2. His best friend Alissa died in a car crash when he was thinking of asking her out. 3 days later, he receives an eerie phone call from her cell phone number. He opened up his cell phone and couldn't believe his eyes. When he answered, a frail and dark voice that sounded like Alissa's came through, but it was clouded in static. Before he answered, he got scared and decided to record the call. He heard her voice say, "Jason...come...Silent...they've..." and the static cut off the rest of her voice, and he lost connection.

Chapter one

Jason leaned back on his chair, and put his feet on the table. He hit the wall, and settled there, so he wouldn't fall backwards. He had finished his lunch, always before everyone else. He shifted his hand through his hair and yawned. He put the chair legs back on the ground. He got up and walked over to Alissa's table and sat in a chair next to her. "Hello, there." She almost jumped out of her seat, and turned around, "Oh, thank god it's you. I didn't see you there." Jason laughed. "You're easily scared." Alissa laughed and said, "Yeah, of course." Should I ask her out now? Jason thought to himself. He decided better of it, and the bell rang. "Well, see ya." she said, getting up and gathering her books. She walked out, and Jason went over to his table to gather his books, and went to class.

~The next day~

Jason yawned as he walked down through the dark street. He went to his bus stop and sat on the curb to wait for his bus. The bus echoed with a slight roar down the empty street. It stopped in front of Jason and a few others and opened the doors to let them on. Jason walked on the bus and sat in the front seat. I'll do it today. I'll ask her out. He thought. When the bus reached the school, he saw Alissa walking through the parking lot. Before anyone noticed, a black car whizzed onto the parking lot, and Jason's eyes widened. A splatter of blood sprayed the area in front of the car. Even though it was dark, Jason saw it clearly. He pinched his thigh relentlessly to make sure he wasn't dreaming. As though it were an eternity a second, the principals and teachers ran over to the car. The principal broke open the window of the car to see who killed her, but all he saw was a heavily drugged man, dead from drug overdose. The teachers took pictures of the mess in front of the car, and Jason put his face in his hands, holding back tears.

Chapter 2

~Three days after Alissa's death~

"I'm sorry you're dealing with this, Jason, but there's nothing we can do." said the Guidance Counselor. "All medical treatments have failed. I'm...sorry." Jason shook his head, and in a sad tone, said, "It's not your faul--" his phone then rang. "Ah, excuse me." Jason said, and fished in his pocket for his cell phone, which was playing his Shackler's Revenge from Guns 'n' Roses ringtone. He pressed a few buttons, and saw Alissa's phone number. The ringtone continued "...I'm gonna pull the trigger, and blow them all away..." He grabbed his guidance counselor's conversation recorder, pressed 'Start record' and put it next to his phone receiver. "H-hello..." Jason said cautiously. "Jason...come...Silent...they've...please...you need to...for me...." The connection died, and he played it, skeptically. His guidance counselor was mystified. "That was...her voice...wasn't it?" he said. "Yeah...I think she meant Silent Hill...where my father...." he stopped speaking, because the guidance counselor was great friends with James. "But anyways, should w--" the Guidance Counselor interrupted him. "You've seen the body. Even if we did search, all it is is an abandoned town. They've searched for your father, countless times, with no luck. It's pointless." Jason shrugged off his words. There's still hope. I just want to see her again.

~Hours later, at Jason's house.~

"Mom's at work. Perfect chance to go. It's not like Silent Hill is that scary. Besides, my friends Justin and Laly can cover for me. He texted both of them, "I'm going to Silent Hill to search for her. Cover for me." He shoved his phone in his pocket, and shoved James's old pistol in his pocket, in case push came to shove out in that ghost town. Missing reports have spiked after the searchers went into Silent Hill, and mostly never returned. He walked out of the house, and onto the street, faint daylight searing into his eyes. "So, just a mile north is Silent Hill. I'll stop at the gas station along the way and ask for directions, in case I'm wrong." After an hour of walking, he got to the gas station. "Hey! Tender!" He called. Tender was the one who looked after the place. He knew her through his father. There was no response. "Huh. She's usually here. Ah, well." He unpinned the map off the wall, and left with it. If he would've lookedbehind the counter, he would've seen Tender's dead body.

~Chapter 2 end~

I have a plan to make it so somebody wants him to go to silent hill, so I'm not randomly putting a dead body in. If you have questions, ask. I love feedback.

Chapter 3

He stared studiously at the map. "Oh. It's not far. Just a half hour from here. Then, thunder cracked, and it started raining. "Ah, well. It could be worse. He started down the street, when he heard a laugh further up, and a big shadow was lumbering through the rain. "Hey! Who are you?" Jason yelled. No response. He ran up to it, and the person became clear.

[Posted ImageThis is the person. Look familiar? ;)]

"Oh, uh,hey. Who are you?" Jason looked him over. Cargo shorts, white and blue striped shirt, looks like he hadn't showered for a bit, and pleasantly plump. Gah, who am I to judge? He thought. "I'm Jason. You?" "I'm Eddie. Eddie Dombrowski." He said, and shook his hand. What a meaty hand. His grip hurts. Jason was almost glad to let go. "Where are you headed?" Eddie asked. "Oh, I'm headed to Silent Hill." Jason replied. Eddie nodded. "I'm going there too, we can go together." Jason smiled, and said, "Why not?"

-

They reached the street where a street sign stood proudly, and in bold words, said, '<---Silent Hill. Brahms. --->

Eddie squinted through the mist. "Oh! Hey, Hey, wait up!" He yelled, and ran over to a shadow in the distance. Almost scaring him, Jason's cell phone rang loudly. He pressed a few buttons, and saw the text from Justin.

From Justin Brown, @7:46 said:No! Don't go to Silent Hill! You know what happened to your father!

Jason thumbed at the buttons, typing

I'm pretty aware of what happened to him. It's nothing I could've prevented. But, that text from Alissa I got said she was in silent hill. So I'm going.

Then, Jason clicked Send and the jingle chimed, letting him know it sent the message.

Then, his ringtone rand a few seconds later, witrh a text from Laly.

From: Laly Lor @7:48 said: No! Dude! You can't! If you do, then what about your mother?

Jason punched the letters.

You can't stop me from going. Alissa is my best friend!

Jason clicked "Add another recipient" and selected Justin's name. The raindrops patted furiously on his overcoat and his phone. Glad I had this thing waterproofed.

-

Justin received both texts, and sighed. He turned on his computer and it whirred a little. He pulled open Google and typed 'kh13.com' and clicked on the first best link, and clicked on the personal section on the forum, and made a topic on Jason going to Silent Hill, to hear from someone else's opinion might help him. He then closed out of the tab, and texted back.

To: Jason

Subject: Really?

Body: You're still hung up over this? Seriously? Alissa's dead! You saw her body! Face the goddamn truth, because it's right in front of your face. Somebody's most likely been messing with her phone. Messing with you, that is. Please! Don't go to Silent Hill! You'll die!

Justin clicked, Send, and the chime signaled to him that it made it.

Chapter 4

Thunder cracked through the sky, and Jason's ringtone went off. He opened up the message, and it held Justin's message. He sighed. He shoved his phone into his pocket. He walked further down the street slowly. He saw a green sign, and he could've sworn that the rain was coming down slower and turning gray. He then heard a speeding car, coming straight for him. He turned, and looked. He jumped out of the way. Another second, and he'd've been roadkill. He landed on the wet pavement. The car crashed, and fell off the side of the road, into the woods below. He went over to the edge of the street slowly, and felt a very hard mass his the side of his head, and he flew 10 feet to the side, knocked out. Eddie, letting the club fall to his side, grinned. "Like father, like son." Jason awoke on the street, and his head felt like silly putty. He held his head, and got up slowly. The rain had left and snow took its place. Jason held his head, which was spinning as if he got off a Gravitron ride, and he struggled to keep his balance. -Maybe...Justin was right.- Thought Jason, and walked back in the direction he came, but stopped abruptly, and rocks clattered down in front of him, down the cliff. "What the hell happened to the road?" He heard his cell phone start making static noises. He took it out of his pocket and looked it over. "There's nothing wrong with it... " He said, and heard a footstep behind him. He turned around, and saw what looked like a person with both arms inside his jacket, and wearing a gray, pale sheet with ketchup all over it."Uh, hi...Do you know the way back to Brahms?" It opened it's mouth, and threw up at Jason ducked, and the vomit flew over him and down the cliff. "What the hell, man?" Then, it tried attacking Jason straight on, and jumped up and wrapped its' legs around his waist, trying to headbutt him. Jason pushed him off, and he lay on the ground. He then started writhing around like a fish out of water. Jason kicked it over the cliff, and it fell over the edge. "What the hell was that?" He asked himself. His cell phone stopped making static noises and the ringtone went off. He opened it up, and saw he had only one bar of service. He opened up the message. It was from Alissa's phone number.

"Please help me"

He read out loud to himself.

He replied, "Don't worry, I'm coming!"

He then slid it back into place, concealing the keypad under the number pad. (Think samsung gravity 2: http://www.google.co...GvuKHjBA&zoom=1)

Chapter 5

Jason slowed down and panted. He smelled the air. "What the hell... is that...a fire?" He held his hand out, and a few snowflakes landed on it. His eyes widened. That's not snow.... He coughed at the scent, and waved his hand to let the ashes off. He started running again, and saw town. "Great. Maybe I can get help or directions, or ask what drugs that could've been put in my food." He heard his ringtone go off again, but this time it wasn't from Alissa's number. He answered and put his phone to his ear. All he heard was strange shuffling. He slowly stopped running. He heard voices all around, but connection broke. The line beeped, and Jason ended the call.

-

Justin sighed, and walked into the school. He walked into the guidance counselor's office. "Ah! Jason's friend! What's up?" Justin didn't speak, and the guidance counselor's expression disappeared. "Sit down, please." The guidance counselor shut the door. He sat in his chair, and asked Justin. "Did he...go to Silent Hill?" Justin nodded solemnly. "Oh, no. I warned him. Ignorant, is what he is. But, we've all had friends that were dear to us. After Jesse died..." The guidance counselor didn't linger on that subject for long, since it was tender grounds for both of them, beside Jason leaving to Silent Hill. "Let me see your text messages." As soon as Justin fished it out of his pocket, his ringtone went off, and he saw a message. From Alissa's number. He opened it, and it said, "You can't stop him. He's made his choice." Justin, shocked, nearly dropped his phone. "Something tells me that it's not Alissa who has been messaging him." said Justin, his hand shaking. The guidance counselor looked at the text. "Let me see if I can trace it..." He took off the back off the phone, and extracted the Sim card. He inserted it into the computer, how he got a computer with a slot for that, Justin would never know, and a program called "UNISIM" sprang up on his computer. Bold text on the program, big, and easy to read, was in the middle of the window, with two bars for typing in information, such as a password and a username. The bold text read:

UNISIM: Use only under special approved UNISIM accounts.

To Justin, it looked like an ordinary program.

The guidance counselor typed:

In the required fields.

The program began to load, reading Justin's sim card contents.

The guidance counselor clicked, "Display message properties" when he found the text message.

The guidance counselor sank back into his chair, put his face in his palms, hoping it would work.

Chapter 6*loooooong chapter

Jason sighed, and sat on the hood of a car when he saw one. He leaned back, and felt paper rub against his back. He rached behind his back, and there was a parking ticket. It had a building name circled for a hearing to the person. It looked like it was blood that had circled it. It had a police station location circled, and an arrow pointing to the circle with highlighted letters on it, "Your hearing will take place here". He looked at the name. "It...looks familiar...that name..." Jason said, out loud. He then remembered an image of him and his father. It was white and blurred in his mind's eye, but it was clear; they were in Silent Hill, but it just didn't look the same. His mother was there, well, his biological mother, at least. And his little sister, Laura. They were all laughing, standing in front of a police station, when his phone went off. He answered, and heard Justin's voice. "Ja--n. Ca- -o- hea- me?" Jason was puzzled. "What?" THen, his voice cam a little clear. "Jaso- are yo- in Sil--t Hi--" Jason almost shouted into the phone. "Yeah! I am!" Then, the connection went dead.

-

Back in guidance counselor's office, Justin sighed, and hung up. The Guidance Counselor's program run through, showing message statistics.

-The guidance counselor clicked play, and listened intently-

"Hey! Alissa! How's Alex? I haven't heard from him for awhile."

"Oh, hey, Justin. I don't know. He went with my Josh somewhere and hasn't come back. In fact, I don't even think Josh left with him, but I'm guessing he has, because he's gone too.

"Oh. Anyways, What's up?"

"Oh, nothing much. My dad's been silent. He goes to his quiet place, his little hill behind our house. I wonder what's wrong, he keeps muttering about something that will kill us all. It's been scaring me. It's almost as if he has some antichrist friend."

-Then, the guidance counselor clicked Speech Effects, and then, in a mesh, gargly voice that sounded discreetly like Alissa's drowned through the speakers.

*incoherent moaning and static*"Silent Hill will kill you and your friend."*incoherent moaning and static*

The guidance counselor's expression took a surprising turn. "I guess then, Silent Hill has been messing with Jason. Who knew, Silent Hill is real."

Justin was horrified. He froze up all over, and the voice played solemly in his head, in scary tones. "It...will kill...me? How...would it lure me?" The guidance counselor was so shaken he couldn't reply. Justin tried to make sense of this, but his head hurt. Jason was in trouble he couldn't possibly define.

-

Jason looked in front of him. The police station stood proudly overhead. "I'm at the place. Heh, call me crazy, I'm following random leads. He walked into the station, and there were bloody handprints on the door. He opened up the door. It creaked loudly. He reached into the darkness, fumbling for a lightswitch. He found one, and switched the light on. There was blood everywhere, with dead bodies in the cells. There was a key on the table, glinting in the light. Jason picked it up and looked at it. It read: Cell 0078, Basement Sector. He slipped the key into his pocket. "Where's the basement sector then? A dungeon? How typical." Jason thought. He looked for a set of stairs. He didn't find one, so he left the station. He waled out and circled the building, and finally found another building, with iron bars , latched onto the windows. He walked through the open doors. The lights were already bright and on. He walked through the hall, and found some flights of stairs. There were discreet signs pointing down and up stairs. There was a splatter of blood over the letters on the large sign that hung above.

SILENT HILL SHEPHARD PENITENTIARY. Built with help of the Shephard family.

Jason looekd down the dark stairs. He walked down slowly. He flicked the switch up, and the light illuminated the dark hallway. Jason advanced slowly and cautiously, watching for more of those things. Like what attacked him at the street cutoff. He guided himself by the cell numbers. He finally found it. Cell 0078. He inserted the key in the lock. He pushed it open and it creaked furiously, with rust particles crumbling away from the metal. He saw a blood scrawled note. It read:

Here I leave my soul.

Here it may rest.

Here it may flourish into something greater.

I search for hopes into heaven, even considering my past sins.

Here, I rest.

I leave my soul to you.

You may use it as you wish.

I leave behind this earthly belonging.

For you, it shall be kept.

I must not linger, take me to new heights.

I thank you for your brave advancement, in this bloody hell.

Jason read the note with sadness. He bit his sweater sleeve to keep from crying. He looked on the bed. There lay a small stuffed animal. Weathered from multiple years of attachment, it lay proudly. "I can't just leave that behind. It meant something to this person." He then heard a deafening screech. Jason, surprised, took the stuffed animal, and hid under the bed. He saw a big figure with medium muscles stagger through the hall. He was holding a dead body in one hand, and a giant knife in the other. He had a triangular prismic mask made out of metal. He turned slowly, and looked straight at Jason. His arm twitched, as if it had intent to kill. It turned, disregarding Jason, and kept going. It staggered further, and kept on going. After 10 minutes, Jason deemed it safe. He crawled out, and gasped for breath. The stuffed animal was soft in his clutched hand. It was a brown bear, with dishieveled fabrics. Jason put it in his sweater pocket. Jason set off back to the main floor, the opposite direction of the mysterious person. He heard a loud siren. It rang into his ears, deafening him. He closed his eyes, squinting from the loud sound. It was as if the environment around him were shaking. Then, he heard peeling sounds. Like skin off of a body. He opened his eyes, and looked around. The color was peeling off of the environment, leaving nothing but metal. It soon happened to the floor. He looked down theough the grating and saw flames. Bright flames, and mechanisms, and gears, all rusted, like they were parts of torture devices. Dead bodies were wedged in the mechanisms. Deathly screams rang out, crying for mercy. Jason's phone started going staticy again. He saw he was surrounded by what used to be corpses, which were trapped in cells. They now attempted to attack Jason. Jason ducked as one flew over him, hitting another. Jumping attacks weren't exactly their forte. Jason ran away from the assembly of creatures, and plowed through a door. He found himself in the employee's bathroom. There was blood splattered on the sink and windows. The splatter of blood on the mirror read: "There is no escaping this hell." Jason saw a knife, sitting on the sink, next to a disembodied hand. He made a frantic grab for it, so he could defend himself from the attacking corpses. The blood rubbed from the handle to his no-finger gloves. He flipped the knife to wield it backhanded. He walked confidently over to the door, and kicked it open. The creatures, no doubt, were still there. He made a frantic dash for the exit, slashing at the ones in his way. The blood splattered from their bodies, and vanishing into the fire , turning into steam. He shoulder-rammed the door, and bursted out the prison. He saw the change occured to the sidewalk and street. There weren't as much creatures outside, which was a good thing. "Okay..." said Jason, taking a breath. "I need to find a place to relax. A downtime place..." His mind wandered, and delved into another memory of Silent Hill. He and his sibling and parents were standing in front of a building. He couldn't remember the name. It was blurred to his mind's eye. He couldn't decipher the name. There were seats and tables in through the windows, he saw. "A diner!" He said out loud. He began running to the diner he saw.

-

The guidance counselor regained his senses.

"Okay...Justin. Did you receive anything else from this number?"

Justin shook his head. "I would remember if I had."

"I need to figure this out." He handed Justin a flash drive with a strange port in front. "This is for if it happens again. It has all the data you need. If you get strange calls, or need to take out the static in your recorded calls with Jason. Put your simcard in the port, connect it to your computer, and review the texts, if you get any from mysterious benefactors." He took Justin's simcard out of the computer, and gave it to him. He shooed Justin out. "If...I find anything...I'll call you. And if...anything happens...let me know. I'm here for you."

Justin walked out, holding back tears. His best friend fell for the oldest trick in the 'book'. And now, it costed him his existence. It was about lunch, now. Maybe talking to Laly would cheer him up. He walked into the lunchroom, and sat next to Laly. "Hey..." said Justin. "Oh, hey, what's up?"Justin put his face in his arms. "How do you think? My best friend disappeared yesterday." Justin said. Laly looked down sadly. "I know...I...think it would help if I stayed upbeat. But, I don't think it will help now. I've...been thinking...what if I went to Silent Hill?" Justin's eyes widened. He got up and punched Laly. "Do you know how you sound?! It's like Jason's disappearance taught you nothing!" Laly wiped blood off his lip. "I know...but...losing him...is like losing a brother..." Laly's eyes watered. He wiped his eyes and sighed. Justin's eyes widened, then settled. "I guess...you're right. You have the right idea...he risked himself to save a friend...and I would feel ashamed if I didn't do the same. But...it's a matter of friendship, and losing your existence." Justin put his face in his hands. "I know...it's the right thing to do...but I don't know if I have the guts...it's just..." Laly managed a smile. "If you can't save him, have faith in him. Even though you can't help him, you can believe in him. We have to be strong. I know he'll be back. Jason's not the weak person you think he is. He'll make it. No matter what happens, he knows he has to come see us soon." Justin managed a smile. "You're right."

-

Jason stopped for breath, and turned his head. He saw the diner, and the name in his mind's eye became clear. He wlaked in, and heard a gun click as the door closed. He raised his arms in a surrendering gesture. He looked in the pointer's direction, and saw a woman with sunglasses on. She looked to be in her mid-twenties. She lowered her gun. "Name?" Jason was quick to respond. "Okay. So you're not a monster. Jason sighed with relief, and lowered his arms. "So then, who are you?" The person smiled. "I'm Rebecca. Rebecca Clarke." She was the kind that got any guy looking. Perky, curved, the like. Jason sat down in a booth, and she sat across from him. "Are you aware that you have blood on your clothes?" Jason looked on his checkered sweater. It was red with blood. "Yeah. A knife does it's job well." He put the knife on the table. "So why're you here?" Instead of giving Jason a short explanation, she gave a speech.

"I'll start at the beginning. When I was your age, I was the kind that always had sex. And they say Silent Hill reflects your sexuality and sexual behavior." Jason thought of how he was 15, and thought that it was too young of an age for that matter. "And then, I started being called, the usual, whore, slut, bitch, you know. Until I met him. James Sunderland." Jason's ears perked at his father's name. "He was the guy I wanted most. But, no matter how much I asked, he rejected. I heard he left for Silent Hill. So, being my horny self, after 8 years, I followed." Jason put his hand up, and said, "TMI." Rebecca laughed. "That's right. You're the boy he mentioned. Jason, right? Came here on accounts of your father?" Jason shook his head. "I'm looking for someone." He pulled outhis phone, and showed her a picture of Alissa. "Her? I'm pretty sure I seen her somewhere..." Jason perked. "When? Where?" Then, she shook her head. "No...now that I think of it..." Jason sighed. "Well, haveyou seen James? My father?" She shook her head. "Him? No. Not at all. I regret coming here. It's hell everyday." That explained her unalertness to the events outside. "Well, thanks anyways." She then stared at him intently. "You know what's strange? You look like your father...almost identical..." Before she could get any ideas for him, he got up to look around. He saw a map. There was a red circle saying, "YOU ARE HERE" at the Shephard Diner location. "Where...do I start looking..." he thought. He remembered Alissa saying, "I looooove Spas. They're just...ooh." He looked for a spa location. He traced along the map. He found one. SHEENA'S SPA RELAXATION. Which was 3 blocks away from his current location. Then, he heard Rebecca's voice. "You might as well stay here. It's getting dark. When it gets dark out there, bad things happen." He shuddered at the thought of staying with Rebecca. He worked out the equation in his mind.

Horny Girl+Sex Deprivation=Bad news.

-

Justin sat on the bus when his phone rang. It was Jason's number!

He answered, and felt glad to hear Jason's voice. The line was almost clear from static.

"Jason! Where are you"

"Oh, so you ignored the past text messages?

"I told you not to go! You might not ever come back!"

"How many times must I tell you? Alissa's my friend."

"So? She DIED. What makes you believe she's there?"

"The texts, the calls, you get the idea."

"You know those are fake!"

"They had Alissa's texting grammar."

"Anybody can fake Grammar!"

"Point being?"

"Somebody's messing with you!"

"And I suppose you haven't been messed with before?

"You've just proved my point! Instead of focusing on her, come back!"

"I will. With her."

Justin facepalmed. "Are you dragging back a fake, dead body, perchance?"

"I'll come back. Don't wor--"

Then, the line broke into heavy static.

Justin hung up, and sighed. The bus left the school and Justin held his face in his hands.

The school knew of Jason's disappearance. Justin couldn't believe they were keeping it secret until they had more information of his disappearance. Justin's phone rang again. Jason's non-biological mother.

He answered, and said,

"I'm assuming you heard the news."

"Please tell me he didn't go."

"Sadly enough."

"*sigh* You smartass."

"Just don't waste time bothering yourself about it. He'll be back."

Being James Sunderland's Ex-girlfriend, Amy knew confidence when she heard it. She didn't reply.

"Anyways, I've been able to get a hold on him. I'll give you updates when I can."

"Thanks."

She hung up.

-

After grueling hours of wait, it finally cleared up. The color seemed as if it pasted itself back onto the correct material. Rebecca left, deeming it 'unsafe' for her to linger. Jason tried calling Justin, but, the connection decided to be stupid again, so all he heard was static. He put his phone back in his pocket, and put his knife in his belt loop. The stuffed animal, still in his pocket, made him feel as if he were being followed. Like, somebody on the other side was assisting him. He walked out of the diner, and the bell chimed. Jason looked around. No creatures. Nothing but fog in sight. He set out to the spa he saw on the map. He arrived at the spa, without encountering a monster at all. The fog got heavier and thicker. It was the steam of the spa, so it was not much to worry about. Jason walked through the door, and saw clothes everywhere, that people stripped off to get the spa-wear on. The clothes had been scattered from their original gathered location. Jason saw scattered belongings, such as chapstick, rings, and the like. He went over to the desk and tried to open it. "Is everything locked now?" He sighed. He found a keycard on top of the desk, and grabbed it. He walked over into the spa area. Nothing but dead bodies, that looked shriveled from constant exposure to steam and heat. The place was thick in warm steam, that made Jason's skin tingle with comfort. Papers with water damage were on the ground, unintelligible text on them. There was also a pool area, which Jason decided to see. The Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO played loudly on the speakers, and the sound was distorted and the sound traveled with flaws from years of continuous play. It screamed out, "Party Rock in the house tonight, everybody just looose your miiind...". Dead bodies floated on the red water. The loud music made the water splash around a bit, but nothing too suspicious was going on. "Everyday I'm shufflin'" The music continued. Jason sighed to see so many lives lost. He saw a few more doors. "MALE BATHROOM" "FEMALE BATHROOM" "EMPLOYEES ONLY" they read. He walked over to the Employee's only door, and pressed his ear to it. He heard a scraping sound that hurt his ears. Like somebody sharpening their knives. There was a card-key reader on the side. Jason swiped the one he had, but it beeped and flashed red. He sighed. "Wrong keycard." Then, the song on speakers changed. It sounded familiar to Jason. Then, it hit him. It was In my room by ICP.

"2:45 and the bell went off. Thank god, many people think I'm odd, but I walk alone and I talk with no one, and I avoid sunlight with a chalky tone. I get home and don't say Hi. It ain't no one there. I walk up the stairs and get on my bed and wait for dark. Because that's when the real fun starts. Tap tap on the glass, young piece of ass. Young and pretty, it's too bad she pass. She would come and hold me at night." Jason stopped listening, and shook his head. "Somehow, I can relate to that song." he said, and heard a shuffling sound. "I kiss her cold lips to the morning come..." THe song continued. He heard a gunshot. Jason saw another one of those creatures. At least, it looked like that. The steam cleared, and he saw Eddie, with a gun in his hand. He was holding a person's dead body. It was Rebecca. "E...Eddie...that wasn't a creature...." He then became angered. "IT WAS THE WAY SHE LOOKED AT ME. SHE LOOKED AT ME LIKE I WAS--" Jason cut him off. "That...really isn't a reason to kill someone...." Eddie's expression settled. "I knew it. You too. You think the same way. Like your father." Jason stumbled backwards. "You...know where my father is...?" Eddie sneered. "Dead." Jason opened his mouth, and took a step back, horrified. His leg hit a dead body, and he fell backwards. Eddie pointed his gun at Jason and shot at him. Jason rolled over, and it punctured a hole through the dead body, and went through the tile. Jason sprung up and ran away to the lobby, bullets nearly missing him. He caught his breath, and after a while, he noticed he wasn't being followed.

Chapter 7

Jason slowly advanced back through the door to the pool. He heard a new song playing. Eddie was gone, and Rebecca's body with him. The song befitted Eddie in many ways. "I gotta funny feelin...and it won't go away... I got an itchy finger....and there'll be hell today...I got an itchy finger...and I'll blow them all away..." Just like Jason's ringtone. The knife sharpening sound had left the Employee's room. So nothing was really happening. He needed a way to get into the Employee's only room, but he didn't see how without the proper keycard. Not too late to look in the bathroom. thought Jason. He walked into the male's bathroom, as, unfortunately, the female's bathroom door was jammed. He opened the stalls, one by one, to find dead people on the stalls. In the last one, he saw a glint of light under the corpse's foot. He lifted the foot and grabbed the card. He walked out of the bathroom and over to the keycard door, and swiped it. It beeped, and it shone a green light. The door clicked. Jason reluctantly opened the door when he heard the siren again. "Damn it! Not again!" He said, and the corpses took movement as the color peeled off things. The water slowly started boiling and turned into a blazing pit of flame, and the song changed to heavy death metal. Jason went into the employee's only room and shut the door behind him, and he heard the lock click. He sighed in relief as the creatures started banging loudly on the door.

Justin's phone rang while he was taking nap. He had a dream that he was in Silent Hill. In some place called Sheena's Spa Relaxation when he was attacked by some fat guy and he had to run from creatures into an employee's room for cover from them. He looked at his phone and it was Jason. He answered.

"Hello?"

"Justin! Thank god! I'm in a spa relaxation place and I need you to let everyone know I'm not dead....yet...."

"A spa relaxation? Name of the place?"

"Sheena's Spa and Relaxation."

"Huh. I might be dreaming about what's happening to you. What happened?"

"I was attacked by a fat guy named Eddie...Attacked by creatures....and now I'm in an Employee Only room."

"Yeah. I'm dreaming about what's happening with you. Awesome. Great. I'm just gonna go back to sleep now."

"Ugh...fine. But how come we only have good connection when that siren goes off? It's just illogical to me."

"You know, I have no idea, so I'm just going to sleep..."

Then, the line broke into static, and Justin fell back asleep.

Chapter 8

When Justin awoke, he connected his simcard to the USB port and turned on the computer. He put the USB in, and the files showed up.

He then ran the Unisim program.

He put in the credentials, and it asked him for the Simcard directory. He chose F:SIM, and it began to work.

He read the data of his recent call with Jason.

So Justin can't find where Jason is.

And why was it only at the evening when he had good connection?

He ejected the Simcard and exited the program.

Jason woke up from his dream-infested sleep. Falling asleep in the Employee's Room may not have been permitted, but oh well. He got up, and saw a memo on the Emergency Exit door. Smart. Put an emergency exit where it's inaccessible to the public. Jason thought sarcastically, talking it off. He didn't see it the other night, due to the darkness. It read:

To all workers, issued 11/13/09:

The pool has recently been filled with communicable diseases.

Close off the Sauna until further notice. All keys have been placed in the Drawer in the main office, for easy access. The Spa area has not been working properly either, have some people look into that as well.

Also, our very own worker David Matranga is celebrating a birthday next week.

The keycard labeled "068463" has been synced to work for the Maintenance room in the Main Office at user request.

Jason checked the other keycard he had, and the numbers matched. He walked out the emergency exit, with no alarm going off, and entered the next door building. It was dusty everywhere. Cobwebs laced the room all over, so thick Jason had to cut through them with his knife, like wild plants in the amazon forest. The desk had heads of papers and memos on it, as well as folders of worker information. There was only two doors past the desk: Management Office and Maintenance. There was a keycard reader for the Maintenance room and an ordinary lock for the Management Office. Jason scanned the keycard, and the lock clicked. Jason turned the knob, opened the door, and held his knife up in case of a monster attack. The lights flickered weakly when the switch was flipped up, but it was enough at least to see. There were computer screens, in the order of how a criminal lab would look. The screens had the Camera's view on them, which, the screens had surprisingly been working, as nothing else seemingly had been, except for the lights. Though the view was off. It was like he was looking through an evil crystal ball. The rooms looked like blood was all over the walls, and the color was peeled off, the pool was actually a large fire pit, etc. That was how Jason viewed it when he heard the siren, but it wasn't like that now. There was a computer in the center of the room, that was on, the screen image flickering. Jason sat down in front of it, and there was a message that had not been read. He opened it and read the contents.

Hey, I received your last message. The Spa was shut down due to someone intentionally releasing a communicable disease. Work has been started towards the purification, but for some reason the disease was stronger than we thought. Whoever went in took a detour to the emergency room. I'm beginning to think it's a terrorist we're looking at here.

Jason sighed. He opened an unrelated email. It read:

Hey, Lisa. You do know that if you want this White Claudia you have to come over later and fulfill your favors. You can't be working at a silly spa that's out of commission. Don't come up with any excuses. I'll be at the hotel. Don't make me wait,

Jason decided it was best not to browse through someone else's emails, so he left the computer to browse the room.
