Doesn't It !@#$%^&* You Off?!

Posted

So I just got Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 (I played the original) and thought "Hm. Maybe I'll try a bit online...".

I was quickly reminded why I don't play online. I'll admit I'm not the best, but I've got some fire under my belt. The problem comes in with the people who spend the whole fight juggling.

Now, for those of you who don't know what "juggling" is, the term refers to when you knock an opponent in the air and continuously strike before they recover, thus preventing any chances of retaliation. Basically, it becomes a one-sided contest of "who-can-knock-th-other-in-the-air-first".

Save your cheap tactics for the computer. When you play against people, put up a real fight. But then again if this is your main strategy, then you probably can't...

Oh God.

That sounds worse than teabagging on Halo 3.

Same was said about Dragonball Z games online.

Yeah! At least the 'bagging's funny on one end! This is just cheap!

Why are you complaining about the players?

The game developers made this game to work like that. The juggling system was intentional. They even showed them off in trailers.

Either you like that style or you don't. Personally I don't, but that is the reason why I didn't bought the game.

It's not about if you can or can't. It's about (It's so hard to put thoughts into words...) the chivalry of it. A straight-up, honor-bound duel. But all people care about is winning these days.

Wouldn't it be better than to play a fighter where those "cheap tricks" aren't possible then?

Name one.

MvC, Street Fighter, Tekken...

BlazBlue and Soul Calibur can't truly juggle, but that's not the point.

It's about the fun in playing with other people. These people come around and just ruin it.

BlazBlue is a cool game.

Street fighter.

Tekken allows juggles but not as much as MvC

If you hate overpowered super-juggles MvC would be the worst choice out of those three.

This is like playing CoD and complaining about the unrealistically fast gameplay. Play BF3 instead... or whatever.

Yeah Blaz Blue Is cool =)

I hate it too :P I haven't played any of the games mentioned except CoDMW3 which i don't even own!

So you pretty much condemned the entire fighting system of the MvC series, huh?

The only way to win a match and get some good combos are to get your opponent into the air. If you spend all of your time on the ground doing basic attacks OR linking Hyper Combos, you will get nowhere. You HAVE to get your opponent into the air if you want any hope of dealing a decent amount of damage before your opponent gets their combo off the ground.

I'm not condemning the games! I'm condemning the people!
