Ten years ago, there was a young boy who lived in a tiny little home. He was unlike other people, however. He was born with blue hair. In his childhood, he was put through ridicule for his unusual hair color. He had the most strangest name too. His name was Essen. Throughout the years, Essen lived somewhat of a happy life. It was rare when he made friends. But somehow, he was able to cope with just being the person that he was.

It was his fourteenth birthday. He had no friends what soever, and he just felt that he needed to do something with his life instead of doing what he does everyday. Just doing some meaningless chores. He quickly packed up his bags. He was somewhat poor. But however, he managed to raise up some money to be able to actually buy food when he needed it.

It was night when Essen first stepped outside his window and onto the rooftop of his house. He could see the light that illuminated from the kitchen downstairs. With fast and fluid movement, he managed to climb down the vine's of the side of his house. And then that's it. He charged into the night. He ran into a nearby forest where he started to hear strange noises. Startled, he quickly ran away from the noise. It seemed to be getting closer however.

He ran as fast as he could with all his might. But the sound kept getting closer. To the point where it was right by his ear. He could feel the breathing traveling right down his neck. He felt like he was about to die when, he tripped and feel to the ground. He looked around and saw nothing. The noise vanished also.

His heavy breathing was the only sound that could be heard. He started to see a strange light come from just below his feet. He moved some leaves and twigs to the side where he found a strange cyan crystal. It gave off a bright cyan light that gave off the only color on his body in the night. It looked beautiful. He went to touch it. As soon as his fingertip touched it however, he pulled his hand back quickly. It burnt. His hand started to feel a sharp pain as he clutched it. The pain started to die down as he quickly examined his hand. There was a strange mark on it. It looked like some kind of Gemini symbol. It glowed cyan in the dark night. He touched the crystal again. It didn't give off that burning sensation he felt before. He just picked it up, and placed it in his back pocket. As soon as he did, he started to hear that strange noise again. His stomach did flip-flops as he quickly charged into the night.

It was there when Essen had no idea where he was going anymore. He didn't know left from right, up from down. He just kept running. But as before, the noise did not cease. Actually, it got closer just like before. His eyes widened as he saw some kind of shadow appear right before his eyes. And then, all he saw was darkness.

He woke up near a lake as he stirred. After a moment to realized what took please before, he instantly shot up. When he sat up, he still had that strange symbol on his hand. He was shocked to see some crimson liquid drop to his palm. He quickly put his hand onto his face to feel a cut. Just above the eyebrow. It throbbed. He sighed as he looked around. It was just breaking dawn. He jumped up as he heard a sudden rustle right next to him on a rock. He quickly shot around to see a perfectly clean folded up peace of paper on the rock. His stomach turned slightly as he inched towards the paper. He unfolded it and read. His eyes widened at what was wrote.

"You just lost the game."

Agreed. It's really good, however, imo. It sounds like it's taking ideas from a lot of different places because it keeps reminding me of stuff, but it changes just enough so that I don't know what's going on. I would change the over use of the word "cyan" though to find a synonym or way to reference the color without the reader going "We get it already! Everything's cyan!"
