So, my PS3 is telling me an update is required. I sign in and go to update it, but then an error occurs within the process. Its telling me to shut everything down (my system and my wireless router) and start all over. I shut down everything, waited for at least 30 seconds, started everything back up and its still not working. It gave me an error code so I can contact technical support. I went to the TS website and typed in my code. I followed all of the advice on it, but its still not working. Im so frustrated! Ive never had a problem with my PS3 and internet connection. Its always been good. Now all of a sudden it won't update my PS3 so I can't play online. I went to Network Settings and tested my internet connection and it said everything was running correctly, but as soon as I go to update, it crashes and gets an error message. I don't know what else to do. Any advice? :(

No clue, sorry. My PS3's never done that to me.

But my 3DS did. It gave me the same crap, so I actually switched my internet connection and it worked just fine (Went to my dad's house). It's a pain, but you could try a different connection...

(And yes, I know what it entails. I had to drag my PS3 to my dad's house every two weeks or so before I got the internet.)

try mooching off your neighbors wifi, that's the only way my PS3 connects long enough for me to do anything internet related, Your router itself may have a bug like mine does, so it may just be prone to faulty wireless, or you can feed an ethernet wire from the router to your PS3 and you should be fine.
