In the province of Skyrim, there exist the divinities that all recognize. Shrines of these Nine Divines litter the land.

But the general populace knows not of the other shrines in their land. Shrines dedicated to the Daedric Lords, malevolent beings who cause havoc in the world. Choosing champions to further their will, the Daedric Lords distort the worship of the Nine Divines and both are ready to fight.

Now, Skyrim becomes the battleground for a new conflict. One between warriors unaccustomed to Skyrim. Chosen warriors summoned from across time and space to battle for control of Skyrim. This is the new war of the gods.

(Welcome! It's nice to have another person. ^^ Nyx and Ivaylo are currently fleeing Dawnstar. They're about to head back to Solitude.)

Nyx let out an annoyed snarl between his teeth. He felt like prey fleeing like this, but at this time, they didn't have much of a chance, fighting monsters like that. He dug his claws into the ice, coming to a stop once he felt they were a safe distance. Ivaylo came to stop beside him, looking back. He let out a load growl, the fur on his haunches and spine raising slightly. He felt much like his brother. Only prey ran from things; predators didn't ran unless it was in the chase. He let out an annoyed huff.

The brothers debated for a bit on whether or not to continue on their journey to Azure's shrine, but Nyx brought up that they didn't have their weapons or armor, and a hunting knife wouldn't be much good against any kind of strange monsters. Both agreed it would be best to head home, and visit the shrine later once they knew a bit more about this new threat. They turned to the West, not bothering with roads just to be home quicker, and to make sure someone, or something didn't catch them off guard.

Johnny and the girl had finished the Forsworn. Or at least this small group.

"Ugh," the girl said. "I hate these guys."

Johnny dismissed the Keyblade and walked over to the girl, "Are you all right?"

The girl flipped her hair, "What? Can't stand the sight of a strong Breton woman?"

Johnny looked puzzled, "Breton?"

The girl's disposition changed, "Oh. You're not amnesiac, are you?"

"I don't think so."

The girl sighed, "Oh well." She gave a smile to Johnny, "Think you can escort me home?"

"Where's home?"

"Markarth."

"Why not?"

OOC: Yeah, Kara's with Wheatley in Whiterun and Caeser just got to Windhelm.

"Don't worry, my little mechanical friend. I have the perfect plan to get us in." Kara grinned. She could feel the Knight's power welling up inside of her. "We are going to slay a dragon."

Ulfric Stormcloak. Of all people, he had to be the Jarl that Caeser had been sent to.

Caeser realized that the Stormcloaks were an unstable power in Skyrim, but... he agreed with them, to a point. The Empire seemed to be crumbling around them (much like Windhelm...), its citizens in danger of losing structure. As a leader (he had been thinking like one a lot, lately...), he couldn't let that happen to citizens of any establishment. Now he just need to see what Ulfric wanted...

Kyle kept riding, knowing that he was nearing Whiterun, as he could see Dragonsreach in the distance as he rode past Shimmermist Cave. As he went bast the Battleborn and Chillfurrow Farms, he slowed Shadowmere to a gallop. He dismounted her and brought her into the stables as he pulled his hood down, revealing his dragon-like horns. He acted casually as he passed the guards, even politely greeted them so as to not draw suspicion to himself.

Wheatley's eye cavity opened even wider, "A dragon? You do realize that's suicide? And how do you expect me to help you? All I've got to fight with is this little Portal gun!"

As Kyle entered Whiterun, he ran through the Night Mother's words to him once more. "Your next contract is in Whiterun. Find an Imperial woman named Mara. She will tell you who she wants to join Sithis in the Void and pay you the gold for the contract." He nodded to himself and began his search for Imperial women. He saw one who seemed to be talking to what appeared to be a Dwemer Automaton. He made sure nobody was watching as he approached her. "Are you Mara?" he asked with a hiss.

"A portal gun? As in a gun for portals?" She thought for a second. "I think you could help tremendously."

"Are you Mara?" A voice asked behind her. Kara turned, a... lizard man behind her. Another odditiy of this world. Though, she supposed, not much stranger than the toads of her own.

"Mara?" He was speaking in hushed tones. This couldn't be good. "My name is Kara. I am sorry for any misunderstanding."

It had been decided. Caeser stood atop the crumbling walls of Windhelm, looking out over the frozen horizon. While he couldn't allow himself to be dragged into this war, he had to do whatever he could to ensure the safety of Skyrim's people. Unfortunately, there was no way to do both.

Ulfric had suggested that Caeser travel to High Hrothgar, a keep high in the mountains. Supposedly, there were monks who knew the ways of the dragons, and were waiting for someone called the "Dragonborn". If anything, he could at least get information.

Caeser could feel the power of the Dragon Knight welling up inside of him, almost like it was resonating. If he was here, the chances of another Knight being here weren't that bad. But for now, those monks were his first priority.

"Sorry to bother you." he said. "This never happened, you never saw me." He then made he way past her as if nothing happened. He then hid behind a house to keep an eye on her. He wanted to make sure she didn't go to the guards. He crouched down and took out his bow, notched an arrow, and took aim. If she got too close to a guard, he'd send her to Sithis.

Wheatley became concerned for the human, "That man didn't seem like he wanted anything good." His attention was redirected to the girl's question, "I don't see how well this would work. I'm not nearly fast enough to redirect projectile weapons. I doubt there's any Portal-able surfaces anyways."

--------------------

Johnny was hailed as a hero when he returned to Markarth with the girl. Not only had he rescued one of their shop-keepers, but he also took down a group of Forsworn. Not every adventurer could stand to that task.

The same guard that ran into Johnny the first time came up to him again with a small bag of coin, "There's enough in there for a cart ride to Whiterun."

Johnny thought for a second, "Whiterun..."

Johnny went outside the gates and found the carriage. Johnny jumped in back and tossed the bag to the driver, "Take me to Whiterun."

(Is everybody headed to Whiterun? xD)

Once the brother's got home, Nyx pulled on his armor, and strapped his weapons on. He shot Ivaylo an intense look. "Stay here," he said intensely, putting emphasis on the word "Stay." Ivaylo visibly sagged, his shoulders dropping.

"But..." he started.

"No. I'm not heading to Dawnstar until the problems gone. I'm going to Whiterun to do a quick job for Vex at the Thieves Guild," Nyx said, sheathing his sword at his side.

"You promise? The Dark Brotherhood can wait," Ivaylo said, remembering that that's where Nyx met the Dark Brotherhood contact that gave him his contracts.

Nyx let out a sigh, turning to his brother. "Yes, I promise. You can go with me as long as you don't get in the way of my job..." He only said it to prove a point. However, Ivaylo's shoulders lifted and his face got an intense distant look. He exited the room, making Nyx frown after him. Whatever he was planning, he wouldn't wait around for him to do it. "I'm leaving now. I'll be back in a couple of days."

He was already some way down the road, when a call from behind him made him turn back. "Wait!"

Ivaylo, now fully clothed in armor, with his weapons on him, ran up to him, smiling widely. "I'm going with. I won't get in your way. Just be quiet and enjoy the company," he said sternly, making Nyx blink, but remain silent. He just continued walking, with Ivaylo walking beside him.

To make the trip quicker, the brother's hired a carriage driver. It took them only half the time it would have on foot, and they soon found themselves in Whiterun stable, staring up at the looming walls, and Dragonsreach somewhere in the middle of the city. Ivaylo gazed up staring. "It's been years since I've been here..."

Nyx just nodded. "It's changed quite a bit, so don't be too disappointed... "

OOC: I was in Whiterun first! Everyone's just stalking me.

"Don't worry about that. We'll figure out the details later." Kara dismissed Wheatley's concerns. She had no reason to fear guns nor arrows when she had the Knight. If the portals worked the way she thought, they could provide... tactical support. "But for now, we need to see this Jarl. If we prove ourselves useful, maybe we can find clues to returning home." She glanced around quickly, looking for that lizard man again. Wheatley was right; there was something wrong with him, she just couldn't quite put her finger on it. "Coming?" Kara asked as she began to move towards Dragonreach.

At least there was a trail. Climbing up a frozen mountain with no trial would have sucked.

Caeser stopped to examine what seemed to be an altar. It said something about dragons, but he couldn't quite make it out. Whatever it was, it looked historical.

"Before the birth of men, the Dragons ruled all Mundus. Their word was the Voice, and they spoke only for True Needs. For the Voice could blot out the sky and flood the land." A voice said behind him. A Khajiit man stood behind him, bundled in light winter wear. "The tablets tell the history of the dragons and their encounters with man." He moved closer, his eyes glinting in the setting sun. "You are here to see the Greybeards, are you not? Are you... the Dragonborn?"

Kyle put away his bow and arrow and pulled his hood up. Crouching down, he followed them, sticking to the shadows. Nobody could see him, as his sneak skill was unmatched. He followed them to Dragonsreach, fearing they may try to tell the Jarl about his actions. What they did not know, was that he was one of the Jarl's Thane's, and even had a house here in Whiterun.

Wheatley let out a sigh, "I guess I have no choice. Hopefully that Jarl-guy can grant some kind of amnesty. I hate humans..." Wheatley shot another glance at Kara, "NOT all of them, but most. You know..." Wheatley followed Kara up to Dragonsreach.

Johnny walked through the doors of Whiterun and took in the sights of the entrance. A busy business district by the looks of it. Johnny waded through the crowd to see a girl followed by a...

"Robot?" Johnny thought aloud. He observed the white robot more and more until he recognized it.

'That's an Atlas unit!' he thought. 'Wonder how it got here. Might as well follow it.' Johnny continued through the crowd, following the girl and robot.

Ivaylo silently stared at the crowds of people. He noticed that some of the people didn't really look like they belonged. He smiled lightly, turning to talk to Nyx, who was suddenly gone. He did a quick circle, and found him sneaking away. He followed from a distance, and saw which house his brother had gone into. He kept watch, making sure no one entered to surprise him.It took him a few minutes, but eventually he came out, the stolen goods already hidden in his travel pack. The brother's silently walked away from the house, walking into the market.

"Do we have to leave right away? Can we stay for a bit?" Ivaylo asked.

"What's there to stay for?" Nyx retorted as they walked up the stairs to the very center of town. The great tree looked dead, much different than it had been when they first visited Whiterun.

Ivaylo caught sight of a strange pair, his eyes following a woman and a metal... thing... "What do you suppose that is?"

Nyx's eyes followed the pair as they headed towards Dragonsreach. "Dwemer Automaton? You know, the ancient Dwarven machines. I've never seen one before, but it looks like how they were described. Wonder what ones doing here..." he said thoughtfully, violet eyes staring openly.

Ivaylo suddenly glanced to Jorrvaskr. "Let's go visit the Companions!" He tugged at his brother as he ran up the steps. He pushed open the large door, and the smell of drink, and hot meat filled his nose. Noise hit his ears; loud talking, hearty laughter. He let out a contented sigh, before glancing at Nyx. Nyx looked annoyed.

Ivaylo ignored his brother's bad attitude and entered.

"Ivaylo? Is that you?" His golden gaze turned to one of the twin brothers, Farkas.

He grinned widely. "Who else would it be, Farkas?"

The big man smiled, holding his drink up. "Vilkas! Ivaylo's back!"

"Ah! The one Companion that never joined," he said in his heavily accented voice as he walked over from the long table in the center. Ivaylo held out his hand to Vilkas, his golden eyes staring intensely at his. Vilkas grasped his arm, before smiling. "It's good to see you again, Brother."

Ivaylo smiled too. He turned to Nyx. "You remember my brother, Nyx?" he asked.

They both nodded, but neither paid him much mind. He was a stranger, and he was even more strange because he didn't share the same blood Ivaylo shared with them. He was completely different.

Suddenly Aela passed, glancing at Ivaylo. "Now that you're here, we should hunt together," she said to him, her intense face never changing besides a very light smile on her lips.

Ivaylo smiled, blinking his golden eyes and tilting his head slightly. "It's nice to see you too Aela. I already told you though, that the only person I hunt with is Nyx."

"That's too bad... He hardly seems... able," she said, giving Nyx and up and down look. Nyx's hand twitched slightly, but he kept still, his intense violet eyes following Aela as she walked away.

"Don't mind her. She hasn't been very polite since Skjor died," Farkas said, following his gaze.

"What? Skjor died?" Ivaylo asked, his smiled fading, which made Farkas launch into the tale.

(Sorry about the long post... >.<)

And... more stairs. It seemed that was the one predictable thing about Skyrim.

By the time Kara and Wheatley reached the Dragonsreach door, her legs were burning. She got used to the flying everywhere; hoofing it was going to be hard. One of the guards stopped, standing between the visitors and the short bridge. "And what brings you two here?" He Wheatley, the turned his attention to Kara.

"We need to see the Jarl. We can stop the dragons."

She expected him to not believe her, but not to laugh at her. "Girl, the entire Whiterun guard is scrambling to fight off one of the beasts. What army are bringing in?"

"I am the only army I need." She reached forward, the guard taking two steps back. A black sword appeared in her hand, wrapped in a winged ebony sheath. The weapon glowed with a visibly red aura, the air around them growing heavy. The pools at the base of the stairs began to ripple, the waves moving erratically around, as if confused. The guard took another step back, his footing shaky. "I need to see the Jarl."

"Y-yes. I will inform him of your arrival." The guard stammered, moving hastily for the door.

"And that," Kara looked to Wheatley. "is how you get inside."

Kyle saw her talking to the guard and then a sword appeared in her hand. "She must be some kind of Magician, able to summon a bound sword." he told himself. Once she goes inside, he'll follow her under the guise of the Thane.

"The Silver Hand..." Ivaylo sounded disgusted as he said the name.

"I know. And worst yet, after that they stole the shards of Wuuthrad. We managed to get the pieces back, but I'd still really like to see all the Silver Hand pay," Vilkas said with a growl. Farkas gave a nod of agreement, his face intense.

Aela, who could easily hear the conversation from where she sat only a few feet away, was oddly silent. She was usually the first to swear death or vengeance upon the Silver Hand. Ivaylo shrugged it off, thinking that she was probably playing a little game which was her way.

Nyx grabbed his brothers arm. "Ivaylo, if you want to stay that's fine, but I really should go..."

Ivaylo blinked, before nodding. "I suppose you're right. I'll go too." He turned to the brother's, giving a half wave.

"You're welcome anytime. Don't wait so long to visit us the next time," Vilkas said.

"You'll always be a Companion to us," Farkas added.

Ivaylo said his good byes before he turned, and left out of the large wooden doors. Nyx lead the way, heading down the stairs towards the big tree. Ivaylo practically skipped after him, taking the stairs two at a time. He grinned when his brother glanced at him. "To Riften?"

Nyx only gave a nod of agreement, and they headed for the only way out of the large city walls. They hired a carriage driver again, and soon found themselves at Riften.Because Nyx wasn't a full Thieves Guild member, he met his contact named Brynjolf or Vex in the Bee and Barb. Once they got to town, Nyx made Ivaylo go get supplies while he talked with his contact. Ivaylo did what his brother asked, but not gladly. After a bit, Nyx met back up with him.

"Do you want to go home, or do you want to go on another job with me?" Nyx asked.

"I'm going with you," he said firmly, before relaxing slightly. "Where are we going?"

"Windhelm."

Ivaylo almost regretted saying he would go with him. Windhelm was an awful place that snowed most of the time, and had awful people that discriminated against everybody who wasn't a Nord. The city was a complete dump, but that wasn't the worst of it; it was the base of Ulfric Stormcloak, leader of the rebels.

OOC: Sorry I haven't posted, the notice wasn't in that stupid little balloon.

Kara and Wheatley were lead into Dragonsreach by the guard, up the stairs and around the massive firepit. Jarl Balgruuf sat upon his throne, Irileth at his side. She never took her eyes off of the visitors, though her hand never met her blade. Any fool who tried to assassinate the Jarl here was already dead. The guard tells me that you have come to slay dragons." There was no disbelief in his voice.

"Yes, Jarl." Kara stated, nothing short of respect in her voice. If anything rubbed the people in here the wrong way, she would be rubbing agianst a blade.

"And what so you expect in return for such services?"

"Nothing." Kara quickly glanced to Wheatley. "Actually... we are looking for a way to return home. We have been taken, across great distances. We only seek information, and were hoping you could point us in the right direction." The Jarl seemed to ponder this for a moment.

"There are reports of a dragon near the Western Watchtower." Balgruuf said cooly. "Slay it. Then we will talk about your request."

"Thank you, Jarl." Kara bowed, nudging Wheatley to follow her out.

Kyle took his hood off and went up to the guards. "Oh, welcome Thane." the guard said to him. "Thank you guardsman. I'm just here for a quick visit, so I won't be here long." he said. He passed the guards and went into the hall, hiding in the shadows as he heard Kara speaking to the Jarl. He was relieved that she didn't mention him, but was intrigued by what she did say. When she left, he followed. If she was as good as she thought she was, he might be able to recruit her. They were in short supply of assassins at the moment, which is why he was the one going out and doing the contracts.

Johnny climbed the stairs to Dragonsreach.

"Oy, some old man's gonna get a heart attack climbing these," Johnny joked as he reached the top of the stairs. He looked at the castle that stood before him, "Wow, you could hold something massive in here."

Johnny approached the doors but was stopped by a guard. Johnny tried to play it safe, "What seems to be the trouble, sir?"

"No one gets into Dragonsreach right now. Dragons are quite terrible as of late."

"Dragons?" Johnny questioned. "There's dragons here?"

"Obviously. Have you been living under a rock?"

Johnny sighed and tried to think of a way in. He stumbled across an idea, "I'm looking for a girl with an automaton following her."

The guard laughed, "You mean the one with the magic sword? She's inside talking about dragons."

Johnny began to walk away, but then he decided to wait at the top of the stairs, 'If she went in, she'll have to come back out.'

-----------------

Wheatley followed Kara out of Dragonsreach. He asked her, "So...how do you propose to bring this dragon down?"

"Don't worry. I have slain plenty of dragons before. The Black Knight has yet to let me down." Kara reassured Wheatley, opening the large double doors. The guard nodded to her, but she stopped as Johnny stood in her path. "Can I help you?" She asked.

"The Voice is worship. Follow the Inner path. Speak only in True Need." The pilgrim read aloud, but Caeser was starting to get the hang of this language. And this Voice sounded particularly interesting. "I am afraid that this is where we part ways, my friend."

"Thanks for helping me up here." Caeser looked to the feline. Apparently, this world had a large variety of species inhabiting it, not too different from his own world. "Is there any way I can repay you?"

"Just meet with the Greybeards." He replied. "If you can help Skyrim with these dragons, then that is enough for me." He bowed his head before taking his leave. Caeser thanked him again, looking ahead. He could see a castle a little farther up the mountain. That had to be it.

Johnny looked at the girl, "My name is Johnny Madman. I'm in a predicament similar to yours. I don't belong in this world and neither do you." Johnny motioned at the Atlas unit, "And the robot you've got with you, I know where it came from."

Wheatley's eyes went questioning, "How do you know about Aperture Laboratories?"

Johnny recollected himself and tried not to reveal himself, "I came across it once and got a tour."

Wheatley began to distrust the man, "Hmm...seems logical..."

Yukino Keisse is walking toward the Bannered Mare to do some drinking. She noticed alot of people gathering at Dragons Reach. With her curiosity peaked she smirks slightly wondering what fun laid in store. She turns around and starts heading up the large stairs toward Dragons Reach. She wanders over to to the unuasual group and starts to easedrop on there conversation.
