Who feels that the new changes to the mass(November).. are well, worthless... stupid?

At my Church, our priest, my hero... was sentenced to go to another church.. we got a new one, and in two weeks we got hit with the new mass changes. Its been a couple months that these changes have been issued... But there just not agreeing with me... If anything these changes are driving me away from the Roman Catholic Church...

Yes, and also some other Christian factors. It was put into place last November. Wording in the mass had been changed. Its kinda trying to be an attempt to go back to the "old" ways of the mass... Also its a rumor that there's going to be more in the future, such as having the altar placed in the back of the church and the priest doing the mass with his back to the people like in old times.

There have been NO changes in Roman Catholicism. There have been however, updated Missals. They aren't useless. They are closer to the Latin (and I believe Greek) texts.

 

It's supposed to give us a sense of closeness and unity with God.

In Spanish, "y con tu espiritu." literally means, "and with your spirit." Before it was just "and also with you." That's why only the English Missals were updated to be closer to the original text.

 

It's all still the same thing, just with updated text. Oh, and those rumors are false.

That is what i meant.. my feeling though is that i prefer the original way it was brought up.. My personal feeling is; saying something more complex doesn't make you closer to God.. I don't know.. personally its a hard struggle for me at the moment with a double punch to the face

meh. I liked the old missals better, but tbh the new changes aren't that bad.
