Birth By Sleep, The Musical (Project and Ideas)

Posted

Okay, I'm not sure if this is in the right section or not, so tell me if it isn't.

I was thinking the other day about some songs stuck in my head, and after watching A Very Potter Musical, I began to think, "Man, Kingdom Hearts should have one of these!" So I brainstormed some ideas, and tell me what you think.

1. Not actually going to be performed. We don't have the time, or means, or copyrights to do so. It'll just be on-site.

2. It would be a group project. People sign up for songs to write and then post them here until we have enough to conglomerate into one thread.

3. The songs would be "remixes" of actual songs so that everyone could visualize them. No, we all can't read your mind about melodies. For example, you could write a song about Xemnas making Organization XIII and use West Side Story's "Tonight" as a format for it.

e.g. original:

MARIA:Tonight, tonight

The world is full of light

With suns and moons all over the place

"Remix"

XENMNAS: Tonight, tonight,

We'll make Kingdom Hearts tonight,

And conquer over both Darkness and Light!

4. The plot would be BBS's storyline, but it isn't cut and dry. Such as Aqua giving the Lucky Charms in a song, not in speaking.

5. This would just be songs of the "play." Dialogue is welcome in the songs, but a play doesn't need to be written around it.

I guess the songs would be roughly...

2 or 3 for the Land of Departure

1 for each of the first 3 worlds

A few for Radiant Gardens

1 for each of hte next 3 worlds

1 for Neverland

1 or 2 for Destiny Islands (I'm thinking an Aqua and Terra duet and one Vanitas song)

Some for the end.

So, does anyone think this is a good idea? Let me know.

I'm already writting a remix of "Back to Hogwarts" for the opening in the Land of Departure for reference, and I'll post it here eventually.

Interesting. You can't forget the Keyblade Graveyard and you have to do one for the Final Episode and one for Destiny Islands seeing how important they are.

Yeah, I included the KG as the some for the end. I have no idea how many songs would be appropriate for that.

Destiny Islands, thanks! Maybe one for Aqua and Terra (Duet?).

You have to throw in the midgets to. Then something nice for Terra and Aqua for the Final Espisode. Probably one for Aqua and Terra-Xehanort as well.

Sounds like fun. I'll see if I can throw something together...

Looks like a decent idea, but already ruined.
