wuts the sadest video game ending ever? to me its between the end of final fantasy vii crisis core and the end of final fantasy x. any thoughts ?

Am I the only one who didn't notice Roxas' ice cream line the first time around? The first time I beat the game and watched the ending, I had no idea he had even said it!

^{I'm not a big gamer, so by default it's either BBS or Days. Days made me pretty sad, but there were random moments when BBS just depressed teh heck out of me because you knew they weren't going to make it or be seen for at least another 11 years. I think that happened around the part where Ven said, "I'll come back when you become a real hero!" or something to Hercules, and I thought, "No you won't!" T-T and the ending of Days was just over the top depressing. The ice cream line was just done perfectly--just teh right hint of sadness in his voice.}

Repliku's life sucked, Sora's life sucked, Namine's life sucked (She sounded so broken hearted when Sora said put me back the way I was!), Riku had his issues, there was all that talk about not existing...CoM was the first really depressing game they made. After that, it's kind of just, oh, don't worry, Sora will save them anyway.}

I am so anticipating the localization... All my characters are level 30 in the Japanese Demo!

That they all wind up living in the secret ending b/c the goddess erased the crystals, right?

 

to be honest I didn't find xions death all that sad, I think it was after in the scene where roxas gets defeated by riku and the last scene where he's in the fake twilight town are the saddest. The first because you just think all he wanted to do was fulfill the last wish of a friend he couldn't remember and the second because, if you'd played KHII you knew that it was the beginning of the end
