Sony UK VP and MD Fergal Gara recently spoke to the official PlayStation magazine about Sony’s Wii Remote clone, the PlayStation Move. Gara admitted that Sony hadn’t done a good enough job supporting the hardware with quality titles, and suggested that the PlayStation Move hardware is best relegated to the causal market.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“What I’m thinking is that it’s better suited towards the casual market, certainly, but we also are pretty clear that we could have done a better job on the titles we’ve had and we’ve brought to market for the PlayStation Move. As you’ve said, great tech, probably not so great applications so far. So there’s a job for us to do on the strength of games, and having seen what’s forthcoming gives me great hope that we can do a better job with Move as we look forward. So we’re certainly not forgetting about it.”

I bought the Playstation Move bundle with Sports Champions and Medieval Moves when it was on sale for 80 bucks at gamestop during the holidays. I liked it at first, but to be honest, it doesnt have that many titles that worth it. It really is mainly for casual gamers/ I tried playing shooters with it but i greatly prefer using a controller. Ironically, when i played Black ops on the wii, i prefered using the wii remote over a controller. If Sony can come out with some really fun games that aren't just party, dance, or silly looking games then I'd support them. But right now, eh.

The Wii is significantly less technically advanced than the PS3. That applies to the move as much as it does to any other part of the tech.

I think they've done a much better job catering to the hardcore audience with Move more than Microsoft has with Kinect.
