Hello, everyone In the Square Enix long trailer, towards the end, the Unknown is shown extending his hand to Sora, saying, "Let's go together." Then, in a scene which is a second long, the Unknown is shown as Riku-who is also extending his hand towards Sora.

 

What is the significance of these scene? Thanks

I believe its mainly to show that we've seen this before. But its quite possible that Unknown is actually connected to Riku in some way since we have seen him talk about the darkness within Riku and (possibly) Repliku showing up in Monstro in front of the real Riku. But right now, it's unclear what his connection to Riku or Sora is.

I'm not entirely sure it was Repliku, but it's possible since he looks just like Riku did in KH1.

Here's how it works: Riku is secretly a replica of Xehanort made by Xemnas to harness light and darkness. He was then sold to the CIA operative in Destiny Islands and had his memory wiped. What does this mean? It means: WE DON'T FRIGGIN KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS YET!!

Nah, Sora and Riku are the same age as they were in KH2 (maybe a little older), but they 'look' like their younger selves in the RoS. Sora's hair changes to it's KH1 look, but Riku's is cut.

Not necessarily, bc their clothes don't change until they enter the RoS and before that they're still wearing their KH2 clothes. It still seems to be a mystery as to why they have new clothes in the RoS.

Nobody ever thought that fools Sora using illusion, that is believed to be Riku and so help them with their plans?

 

I've heard a theory that the Unknown will alter Sora's memories of Riku and replace them with himself.
