Photoshop>Gimp due to more easily customizable aspects, but it can be Gimp>Photoshop gimp is free (assuming you don't pirate photoshop) and is nearly the same thing as photoshop whenever you bother to figure everything out and add more plugins. Whatever floats your boat though.

I got GIMP cause it was free but I don't use it much

A 1000 dollar program doing things better than a free program? Impossible!

I didn't pay anything for my Adobe Design Premium. And PhotoShop is far superior to Gimp.
