Just kidding, well, Pete was banished by Queen Minnie, who sent him to another dimension because he was causing mischief. And i don't think Maleficent ever was on Disney Castle, but i'm not sure. Maleficent also saved Pete from his ''prison dimension'', and that's why Pete is loyal/worked for her.
