Time Corruption

There's something that I still don't understand. If The World That Never Was wasn't one of the seven worlds in the dream world, then how were Sora and Riku there in their dream forms? I know Sora was brought there and buried in sleep/dreams worse than Inception, but was this taking place in the same TWTNW as in Kingdom Hearts II? If so, then why did Young Xehanort and Ansem bring them all together in one place, just to get Sora, and then return to their original times? Do they plan to alter history completely, or will everything be the same as it already is?

It was in dream world. It was like it was after Xemnas went nuts and destroyed everything. But im not right person to explain plot here xD

it was in the dream world, it has bene stated by Xemnas and Braig that they had been working Sora's whole quest to get him there. Riku wasn't meant to come there too..

and it also has been said by YMX that one cannot alter the timeline as it is forbidden, there actions are just needing to be guessed..

I'm hoping Nomura will have an interview soon talking about 3D, that probably also would clarify things..

Yeah, time line can't be altered and YMX returned to his time once the big guy was back. Also I don't think they were in the 'real' TWTNW, more like a dream/memory of how it was at the end of KHII the same way they explored worlds that had a younger M/D/G in them. If I'm understanding Braig correctly they were able to bring Sora there because he had been there in KHII.

So, the Master Xehanort we saw is the Somebody (recreated from Ansem and Xemnas being defeated), or Master Xehanort from the Birth by Sleep timeline? And, are they returning to their own times, with knowledge of everything that happened so far? I'm still kind of lost.

I think we need to wait for more data to come before anyone can tell for sure, but I think MX is from the BBS tl

It was a dream world, i'm not sure if it was one of the worlds to have their Keyholes of Sleep unsealed, since i didn't watch too much gameplay of it, but anyways, it was, yes, a Dream world.
