Uh there should be a text that is an overlay. I don't know how you position it to go down the page and such but all I know is that the white and dark checkerboard text options are overlays. Which sony vegas do you have? I have pro 8.0.

i use movie studio 12.0, one of the simplest and one of the best :)

so i have no idea what sony vegas is like

7.0 and thanks!

OH that's an easy one.

First, I'm pretty sure 7.0 has it, but you know where the text is right? Under media generators, and then text. You can enter whatever you want on there. Next you can either use the Pan/Crop tool, which is located on the clip/text on the timeline, or in the box where you edit the text, there is another tab called positioning, and you can do it there as well.

.... anyways. o-o

Next all you have to do is create a new layer, and move them to where you desire.
