A Marine Corps school that trains infantry combat officers is now enrolling women, the Marine Corps Times reported, marking the first time female members of the front-line fighting force would be specifically groomed for direct combat roles.
This is a major step and I'm extremely excited. The Marines are one of the more reluctant branches in the case of letting women in direct combat roles. If you read farther on, it does mention that some things are still prohibited, but this is a serious step in the right direction for the Marines Corps. Guys, this made my day. The Marine Corps is going to fix it's only flaw. Yes!
