Tails Reviews: Mario Tennis Open

Story:

Not much of a story in this game. But the game starts off as a tutorial round match between Mario and Peach. Toad explains the controls to you as you face off against Peach to win the match. After winning, you'll get invited to the Mushroom Cup.

Gameplay:

The gameplay features the traditional basic elements from previous Mario Tennis games, utilizing the buttons of the 3DS during gameplay single or multiplayer matches. Players can perform various different tennis shots by selecting the shot panels on the touch screen. There are also Special Modes in the game, such as "Super Mario Tennis", where the player needs to hit enemies, blocks and coins with tennis balls in some levels of Super Mario bros. There is also the option to use the gyroscope controls for those who just want to use motion controls or just make things easier for them to play the game. Although the controls for it aren't as great as you might think it will be. But other than that, the gameplay is pretty good.

Presentation:

Mario Tennis Open is kinda a good game for anyone that loves sports games (or sports in general), and especially for Mario fans. it may not be as great as Mario Power Tennis on the Wii and GameCube. But it certainly is a fun game with plenty of content that may keep you playing for a long time. The game has a feature of collecting items weather you win or lose a game. These items can be used to customize your Mii character to have different clothes on. Some of these items can be used to customize your Mii's play set. Like some of the clothes in the game can make your Mii more powerful, speedy, tricky, or technical.

Verdict:

After playing the game for a while. This game is pretty fun and can kinda keep you busy weather if you're playing online, with friends, or just trying to collect all the cutomizable items for your Mii character. So I give this game a 7.5

So, what did you think of this review? Was it good, was it bad, or was it okay? Please post your opinions.

Did you seriously just come here just to post that comment? You've never even played this game so how could you say it sucks? Maybe if you gave this game a chance and tried it for yourself you'd end of liking it. Trust me, I thought this game wouldn't be that great compared to the Mario tennis 64 and Mario Power Tennis. But after giving it a try I ended up being addicted to the game.

Well, yes I have played it, and it has to many ways just to play tennis, I know it would be hard to incorporate a story but I kinda wish that it had a story, that's all.

If it had what I metioned I would definitely buy it.

Nice review. I have a question though, is the only character you can play as your mii?
