I don't get it.

 

*spoilers*

 

Pittoo is Pit's clone from the Mirror of Truth. He only sees Pit as a rival, and usually hates him from time to time. When Pit saves him from the Chaos Kin, he ends up having his wings burned off and barely living. He only heads out to the Rewind Spring because Palutena reminds him that Pit just put his life on the line for both of them.

 

They even head out to the Underworld castle battling against the Underworld Army for a bit, as well as flying with him at the end credits.

 

But, that's what I don't get. ARE they friends? Or Frenemies? Enemies? Pit doesn't even like him that much.

The reason Pittoo began to respect pit(a little) is because he found out in the Chaos kin Saga that he cannot exist without Pit(his original incarnation)when Pit was sealed inside the Chaos Ring.

 

It's more like sonic & Shadow than Sora & Riku because

Sonic & Shadow were rivals before they became friends much like Pit & Pittoo

but Sora & Riku were already best friends but Riku chose to impress the darkness and believed maleficent instead of his childhood friend
