CHAPTER 1: LIFE TAKES A TURN

Jarry begin his morning like always. He reached school and was in his first period class. The school year had started over again, and he was now in the tenth grade. The class was filling in one by one. Jarry had arrived first since he liked to have time to write in his journal. He looked around as people filled in the classroom. He saw that some of his friends had come into the class, but he just smiled at them and kept writing.

Alison was at her new locker getting it ready for the year. She always made sure that her locker had some style to it. She finished by putting a picture of her family. "There, a new year, a better look." She looked at the time, "Time for class." She said. She walked to her classroom and went inside. She looked around at everyone while she was coming in. She then noticed a boy writing in a journal. She sat down beside him and pulled out her notebook. She started drawing a picture of a rose.

Night blushed madly, and quickly turned away, but the moment was there. "I-uh-er..." he stammered. "Uh...thanks. I won't forget this. I'm sure. And-er, um, d-don't worry, you'll find your girl. So, what time is it?" he asked.

"Time for a little certain prince to play Cinderella and I to play the Fairy Godfather. Your ride should be here in an hour. So that is when you are to be carried to the ball. But, you must be warned, the battle begins at midnight, so you must be in your second outfit ready to fight. Okay, well I guess I should wave my magic wand and be gone. Just remember what I said." Matt said. He then disappeared into thin air.

Night just stared with his mouth gaped open. He then thought of Matt's words and exit. "What the @#$% just happened!?!?" he shouted. "Well, let's see how this goes." He smiled. "This should be fun."

Matt appeared in a dark room where a girl was. "Did he take the bait?" the girl asked. "Yes, he has no clue that his outfit is set to make his darkside take control." Matt said. "Ah good, the plan is going in order. They have no clue that Nightlander is the monster told in the passage to fight Jarmoon." the girl said. "Yes, good thing we were able to make them believe in our little stories, like how all of this about the dance is realer than it is. I think that it was even more brilliant to make Night believe I had feelings for Nelita, but my favorite was the idea to make them believe Alitona was a monster which in fact she is just a simple watermaker." Matt said. "Yes, but we must be focused. I may have been able to trick them with my powers of making two realities, but that doesnt mean that we can stop here. Through this morning forward, we are taking it up a notch. Isnt that right, Equatua?" the girl asked as she turned around from the window she was looking out of. She had dark brown, short hair, her hair went to her left eye, she was tall, and looked about 17, she was wearing a full black suit with purple outlines. "Yes, we will soon make them see that they are nothing but worthless kids that got in the way of things." Equatua said. He was a tall man wearing a total black robe and a mask with a half moon on the forhead. He was totally where you could not tell who he was behind the mask. "Yeah sure, I always do my best." Matt said. "Thats what I am afraid of." the girl said. "Hey, that is totally unfair, Amy." Matt said. "Whatever, Robert." Amy said. "I believe my name is Matt." Matt said. "I will call you what I want." Amy said.

Hawk was finished with the powder.

"I'm glad everyone is backing me up... but that Matt guy..."

His eyes shimmered.

"I hope it's not as I think it is... if he's a vampire, I have to slay him..."

He cursed the codex, wolves where threatened as humans, but on nearly every second line of it there was a rule that said Vampires have to be extinguished no matter what.

"Well let's head out..."

Nessa sat on her bed, staring at her clock, counting the minutes. Am I sure I want to be doing this? Yes, of course I do. What choice do I have, anyway? She thought, arguing with herself. Something just doesn't feel right about this, or maybe I'm just nervous. Who wouldn't be? Bored, she opened the Grimmerie and studied the spells she'd already mermorized. Sighing, she slipped it into her bookbag. "Guess I should go check with the others."

Night put on the first out fit that Matt made him. 'Hmmm...' he thought. 'Suit and mask. Stylish.' 'Night some thing about one of those outfits doesn't feel right,' Draco told him. "Look," Night said. "Don't be so paranoid. He's our friend now." He checked the time. "It's almost time to go," he said.

A knock came over Night's house door. 'This is too easy.' Amy thought. She was in a total different look and just looked like a normal limo driver. She kept on knocking on the door.

 

Jarry was already dressed in a black suit with his hair in curls. His suit was long, black, and had a red rose on the pocket. "This is so exciting" Jarry thought to himself. Just then Alison walked down the stairs. She was wearing a dark red, swirl dress. Her hair was swirled into curls. She was wearing ruby slippers. Jarry was cut off by her beauty. "How do I look?" Alison asked. "You look beautiful." Jarry said. Alison smiled, "Thanks. Now the others should be here soon." Alison said.

Night opened the door. "Hello?" he asked. "You'd be who?"

"I am your limo driver for tonight. Matt has told me where to drive to and where to drop you off at." Amy said with a sweet smile. 'Even though I would rather drop you off at the side of a cliff' Amy thought to herself in her mind.

'A limo? Isn't that a little much for a school dance?' Night thought to himself. Then again, he didn't know exactly how dances went down here. For all he knew, a people arrived in private jets. 'Private jets? Really?' said that oh-so familiar voice in his head. "All right then, let's go," he said, walking toward the limo.

Amy went and opened up the door for Night to get in. "Sir." she said.

"Thank you," Night said with a friendly grin as he hopped in.

Nessa arrived at Jarry's house and knocked on the door. "Am I the first one here?" she wondered aloud. "I would've thought Night would get here first." A small twinge of uneasy settled in her stomach.

Alison heard the knock on the door. "I will get that." Alison said and walked over carefully to the door. She then opened the door to see Nessa. "Nessa, hi. Please come in." Alison said with a smile.

 

 

Amy closed the door after Night got in. 'Why do I always get stuck with the icky jobs? Why cant Robert drive him and I play godmother?' Amy thought after the door was close. She then hopped in the drivers seat and rolled the middle window down so she could see Night. She started up the limo. "Hey Night, what type of music?" Amy asked.

"Hey. Wow, you guys look amazing." Nessa added, seeing their costumes. "Anyone else here yet?"

"J-pop, please," Night said to Amy. He sniffed the air. 'Something smells wrong,' he thought, 'but I can't place it.'

"Thanks. Hawk should get here at any time now. We got a message from Night that said to meet him at the school, Matt is helping him get there since somebody dropped his outfit in mud." Alison said. "In my defence, I didnt see that mud there in the first place, and I fell with the feeling that something pushed me. So we can only blame Mother Nature." Jarry said. "You are just lucky your brother was able to help in the first place." Alison said with a giggle.

 

Amy turned on the music to Night's request. 'He just couldnt have me play something like Soundgarden.' Amy thought in her mind. She then started to drive to the school.

"Alright. Do you have everyone's coustumes with you?" Nessa asked. At least Night isn't locked in a storage closet or something.

"Upstairs. Each one has the name of the person on it, so basically yours is the only girl one up there." Jarry said.

(I'm a bit drunk cause I've just celebrated my graduation so I could write total crap...)

 

Hawk got to the constituted place whit a back suit and a grey tie, he had his crossbow and the powder in a sorts-bag

"I'll just wear the costume over the suit" he thought.

He was enlightening a cigarette as he waited for the others.

Sooner than later, Amy had stopped the car on the ally way inbetween the school. "Okay, we are here. You are to report in through those doors over there and watch to see when Nessa gets here. That is when you make your move. If you need me, I will be in there hanging out with Robert. Just make sure you remember his plan and the fact that you are playing quite about who you really are." Amy said with a sweet smile and voice.

Night stood up and faced Amy. "How did you know about that? Aren't you just a limo driver? Why will you be in the school, are you a student? And who's Robert?" he asked with suspicion in his voice.

"Robert made sure to tell me everything that he told you. Yes, I am a student. I had to have a part time job somewhere and I like to drive. And Robert is Matt, I like to call him Robert, long story. Also, I know about your kind, magical creatures. Robert had to explain it to me after he saved my life." Amy said still with sweetness in her voice. 'Why are dragons always panic?' Amy thought in her mind.

Night bit his lip in thought. 'Should I trust her? I was fooled once already...' he thought. Finally, he simply said, "Sure," and walked towards the doors. 'I'm still gonna watch my back though.'
