CHAPTER 1: LIFE TAKES A TURN

Jarry begin his morning like always. He reached school and was in his first period class. The school year had started over again, and he was now in the tenth grade. The class was filling in one by one. Jarry had arrived first since he liked to have time to write in his journal. He looked around as people filled in the classroom. He saw that some of his friends had come into the class, but he just smiled at them and kept writing.

Alison was at her new locker getting it ready for the year. She always made sure that her locker had some style to it. She finished by putting a picture of her family. "There, a new year, a better look." She looked at the time, "Time for class." She said. She walked to her classroom and went inside. She looked around at everyone while she was coming in. She then noticed a boy writing in a journal. She sat down beside him and pulled out her notebook. She started drawing a picture of a rose.

Hawks saw the people and waved while he stepped on his cigarette.

"Looks like it's time to make a move..."

Nessa nodded. "Thanks." She ran upstairs, and quickly found her's. It was long, and was a swirl of black and dark green. She quickly changed into it, slipping on her knives underneath the long sleeves, and keeping on her red sneakers, figuring she was probably going to be doing some running. Pulling her hair into a quick bun, she headed back downstairs. "Ready when you guys are."

"Okay I think we should head out then. Just remember the plan." Jarry said.

 

 

Soon, they arrived at the school. The party had already started and tons of people filled the room. "Okay, we meet up at 11:30." Alison said.

 

Matt was at the punch bowl. Amy walked over to him, "Okay, they are here. Now, we are going into plan two." she said. "Yes, yes. Plan two where we pretend to just be having fun while the boss goes and does whatever. Tell me, do you think it was a good idea not getting any live entrainment?" Matt asked. "You want live music, Ill give you live music." Amy said leaving.

As Night waited for Nessa, he was also looking around and sniffing for the main bad guy, as he called him. 'The wierd smell left as soon as I moved away from that limo driver,' he thought. 'I haven't sensed anything since...could she be...? No. The smell isn't nearly as strong as someone with the power to enslave a vampire should.' He continued to walk around and look. "Well," he said out loud to himself, "at least nobody can recognize me from that fight with Jarry. This whole quiet about my identity is a great idea for more than one reason."

Hawk readied the powder and waited for Nessa.

"We have to get through unseen, to reach the control room.

Then it should be easy finding the controls for the air conditioning... except the janitor is working."

He thought

Night dialed Hawk's number on the cell phone and called. "Hello? This is Dovahkiin to Hawkeye, where are you? As for me, I've searched high and low (literally) and I can't find or sense anyone suspicious."

Hawk answered.

"Nice nicknaming... *nerd*" Hawk coughed.

"I'm still waiting for Nessa so we can pollute the air conditioning with the silver powder. And I wanted to ask you something... more or less private..."

"Sure," Night said. "What do you want to talk about?"

"It's Matt, I don't know why but my blood told me he's not human, but neither wolf.... did your dragon sense pick up something odd about him?"

Hawk was really hoping that he was wrong and Matt was a human after all, he really wished that he was no Vampire, because if that was the chase it would be Hawk's duty to slay him, and he didn't want to take Jerry's brother from him.

"He's a vampire," Night told him. "Why?"

Hawk endet the phone call without a word.

He screamed and punched against the wall next to him.

Then he tried to calm down until Nessa arrived.

Nessa found Hawk, and headed over. "Ready?" she asked. She caught sight of the crack on the wall, and rolled her eyes mentally and ignored it.

Hawk covered his face with his hand, and slowly moved it down as he heard Neassa's voice, he looked at her and smiled.

"Let's do this..."

Matt caught sight of Hawk and Nessa. 'Hmh, better get the plan into action. Good thing Amy wont be able to perform until the next five songs. Now to call Night.' Matt thought in his mind. He pulled out his cell phone and called Night.

Night heard the ring. He picked up the phone. "This is Dovahkiin, what do you want, Battrap?"

Hawk thought that it would come to this situation.

For preparation he blessed the powder.

Hawk followed Nessa in.

"Excuse me?" Matt asked after hearing what Night said.

"Well, if we're doing a covert operation I thought that I would give us all nicknames, you know, like in those spy movies?" Night said. "If you want, I could change yours."

"Oh okay, just call me godfather since I just called to report Nessa is on her way inside. You have three more songs before your song that I picked out. You have to come up with a way to get Nessa to dance with you when the song comes on. And I have to find a way to get Amy to stop being a drama queen to dance with me so I can keep an eye on you two so your moment isnt ruined." Matt said.

Night's grin dropped and "Bye the way...that Amy chick..." he held out the silence for a few moments for dramatic effect. "...she had a dark aura...what is she really?"

"This had better work. They won't be able to see it, will they?" Nessa asked, going in. She could soon hear the thump of music, wondering what would happen if she were one of the normal kids tonight.

"Hmh, why dont you ask her yourself? I promised her I wouldnt tell anyone when I found out about her. But dont worry, she is good." Matt said.

"No, it's fine powder, maybe it cold get stuck in someone's eye, but that's all"

Hawk opened the door for Nessa

"Thanks." Nessa went inside, the music slightly louder. "Monster, come out, come out, where ever you are." she whispered.

"Do you see the control room?"

Hawk asked in a whispering, yet to be heard voice.

For himself he skimmed the room, the grip on his sports bag and the powder tightened.
