CHAPTER 1: LIFE TAKES A TURN

Jarry begin his morning like always. He reached school and was in his first period class. The school year had started over again, and he was now in the tenth grade. The class was filling in one by one. Jarry had arrived first since he liked to have time to write in his journal. He looked around as people filled in the classroom. He saw that some of his friends had come into the class, but he just smiled at them and kept writing.

Alison was at her new locker getting it ready for the year. She always made sure that her locker had some style to it. She finished by putting a picture of her family. "There, a new year, a better look." She looked at the time, "Time for class." She said. She walked to her classroom and went inside. She looked around at everyone while she was coming in. She then noticed a boy writing in a journal. She sat down beside him and pulled out her notebook. She started drawing a picture of a rose.

"Really? Show me, it could come in handy in battle." Nessa suggested. "You'll dry off eventually, I want to see if you can do it when you're not in mermaid form."

Alison then changed back a few moments later. She got up and quickly touched her feet. "I'm back to normal. Good thing. Now let me show you how to do it." Alison said to Nessa. She went over to a water bottle. "Okay, I do something like this and then...." Alison said moving her hand out in front of her and turning it left and right. The water began to move out of the bottle in a straight line and stopped with it 4 feet out of the bottle. "Then if I do something like this, it will freeze." Alison said and made the water become frozen by pressing her hand forward. The water turned into a long ice cicle. "And if I do this, it will become hot." Alison said and pulled back her hand and the water unfroze and Alison caught it and made it go back in the bottle. "And that is pretty much to it." Alison said.

"Now, where's Nessa?" NIght asked himself.

"Hmm. Wait, if you're a mermaid, then how did you think you where the monster in the first place? And where's Jarry, Hawk, and Night?" Nessa asked, starting to see that things she'd dismissed before were looking very suspicious. "Should we head to the dance? Or look for them?"

"I didnt know what I was, but when I grew that tail, it all came straight to me. Someone set us up to make me believe I was a monster. I even learned that mermaids can be harmed by silver as well. Now I think we should head back to the dance, they should be there, and I really want a slow dance with Jarry." Alison said.

"Alright, I understand." Nessa added with a wink. A slow dance. Who'd ever want to slow dance me, though? She thought with a moment sadness. But, she ignored it. "Let's get over there, then."

Hawk stood at the snacks table, the air still glittered from his powder.

"I hope Jerry won't just go inside here in the next 2 minutes... until the dust is gone."

He took a bite of a nacho then walked to the door again, as he walked past Night he just said:

"Outside, smoking"

He enlightened his cigarette and watched the moon.

"I wish I knew what's going on..."

Alison and Nessa got back to the dance just after the powder had died down.

 

Jarry walked in on the opposite side.

 

"Hey, I see Jarry on the other side." Alison said.

 

 

Amy went over to Matt. "Its about time to put our plan into action. Make sure to be ready." Amy said. "Yeah, yeah, yeah." Matt said.

(I thought that this thing died. Thank goodness it didn't.)

 

Night felt weird. He felt as though he had some foreign power controlling him. He shook the feeling off. "It's nothing..." he told himself, looking at the palm of his right hand.

(This just took an unexpected break. I would never end a RP that was this good.)

(I missed this RP. Glad its back! ^^)

 

"Right. Do you see the others?" Nessa asked Alison. She spotted Hawk walking outside, passing Night. She saw the small cigarette in Hawk's hand, and rolled her eyes. "It looks like everyone is here." But Nessa couldn't shake the feeling of evil nearby.

Just then the announcer came on the stage and said, "Everyone, it is time for that special dance of the night. Please make your way to your partner." the guy then walked off stage and went behind the currents. "Okay, and the trap is set." the man said. "Good." a dark shadow of a man said.

 

"I guess that is my cue." Alison said and dashed to where Jarry was.

Awkwardly, Night went over to Nessa. "Er, yo, Nessa," started, "I'm not good with this sort of thing, so I'll just cut to the chase: May I have this dance?" On the inside, rage and violence began to boil.

Nessa felt herself blush, and then mentally kicked herself for it. "Sure, Night." she replied. Alison and Jarry, and now Night and I. Huh, who would've thought?

"Alison," "Don't even ask." Alison said to Jarry.

 

Matt went over to Amy, "I guess I am being forced to dance with you." Amy said. "I guess so." Matt said.

Night bowed and offered Nessa his hand. "I think this is what I'm supposed to do," he said.

(Play song for the dance)

 

 

 

Alison took Jarry's hand and they started to dance. The same happened with Matt and Amy.

Nessa laughed a little, as she curtsied and accepted Night's hand. "Yeah, you're doing alright."

"Well, that's good," Night said as he danced. "Oh, word of warning, I've never danced before either," he said.

Again, Nessa laughed a little. "Don't worry, I've danced some before. Just follow my lead." She'd danced a little, just the simple things, like how to not constantly step on your partners toes. So far, everything is going perfectly. She smiled, glad something had gone right.

Matt and Amy were still dancing, then Matt brought Amy into a twist turn and back. "I think this is going rather well." Amy said. "What'd I a tell ya, I can do somethings right." Matt said.

 

Jarry and Alison were having fun dancing together.

When the song came to an end,

 

Amy stopped dancing with Matt. "It looks like it is time for part 2." she said. "Yeah." Matt said. Matt then walked in one direction and Amy went backstage.

Nessa saw Matt and Amy out of the corner of her eye, and immediately felt something off about the two. She looked across the gym, looking for Alison, Jarry, and Hawk.

Matt was high above everyone else on a hallway that connected to the area. "This is M-D, I have gotten into position." he said.

Night turned to Nessa. "You notice something off too?" He then gripped his head. "Ow, I have this major migraine all of a suddent."
