CHAPTER 1: LIFE TAKES A TURN

Jarry begin his morning like always. He reached school and was in his first period class. The school year had started over again, and he was now in the tenth grade. The class was filling in one by one. Jarry had arrived first since he liked to have time to write in his journal. He looked around as people filled in the classroom. He saw that some of his friends had come into the class, but he just smiled at them and kept writing.

Alison was at her new locker getting it ready for the year. She always made sure that her locker had some style to it. She finished by putting a picture of her family. "There, a new year, a better look." She looked at the time, "Time for class." She said. She walked to her classroom and went inside. She looked around at everyone while she was coming in. She then noticed a boy writing in a journal. She sat down beside him and pulled out her notebook. She started drawing a picture of a rose.

Night/Draco powered off his beams. "Yes, I am well aware of what a fairy tale is. Supposedly, I AM ONE!"

"What's what?" Night asked as the beam hit Jarry.

Jarry dodged it and ran onto the top of the ceiling. "Whats the creature you are fighting? I don't remember a dark Eropaenalout before." Allison said.

Nessa followed quickly behind Alison. "What's that thing you're doing?" Nessa asked. She spotted the wolf Night was fighting. "Is that Jarry?"

"Yeah, and I'm helping him blow off his steam and bleeding out in the process," Night replied, gesturing to his scratch wound with one hand and throwing three knives at Jarry with the other. "Trust me, this will work, as long as we don't tear down the house along with us!"

"That is no way to treat a beast." Allison said. Jarry fell to the floor in human mode the way he was before Night walked in. Allison then walked over to him and placed a hand on his cheek. "I......am.......a.......monster......" Jarry said shaking. "No, you're not. You the boy who has stolen my heart." Allison said in a gentle voice. She then kissed Jarry on the lips. While they kissed, Jarry began to turn back to normal. When they stopped, he fell to the floor out cold. "That should do it." Allison said getting up and looking at Night and Nessa with a grin.

Night simply shrugged. "I'm sure my way would have worked eventually. Either way, problem solved. So, what now?"

"Now we get Jarry out of here and lock him up. When he wakes up, we question him about what he knows. Then..." Allison then pulled out a blaster and held it "we then get rid of the problem." Allison said smiling.

Night looked at Allison with surprise. "Hey, wait, where did you get a blaster from? Those are fictional weapons!" he shouted, shocked. Then he remembered what she had said afterwards. "Wait, what do you mean, 'problem'?" he asked, hoping that she didn't mean him.

"Really? Lets see here I'm a mermaid, you're a dragon, Nessa's a witch, Jarry's a wolf, Matt's a vampire, and you say that a blaster is the most fictional thing here? And I mean, we go after those people who are making our lives a living nightmare." Allison said.

"Oh," Night said quietly. "Of course." He turned towards Jarry. "So, when's Sleeping Beauty here gonna wake up so we can get to the butt-kicking?" he asked.

  • Author

"He should awaken once we have him locked up." Allison said.

"So, how do we do that?" Night asked.

  • Author

"Just leave that to me." Allison said.

Soon everyone was seen in a stone walled underground area. There was a huge cage on the right side of the area that Jarry was locked in. Jarry had awoken, "Where am I?" he asked.

"Wait-wha-? How?" Night asked, looking at his surroundings. "How did you do that?" He noticed Jarry was awake, but barely. "Oh, hi Jarry," he said absentmindedly, still looking around.

"I have the power to send time forward." Allison said. "Now Night, isn't there something you would like to ask Jarry?"

"No, not really," Night said. "Why?"

  • Author

"Thats your hint for questioning him on what he knows so we can get to the villains, meathead." Allison whispered in Night's ear.

"Oh, yeah," Night said, understanding dawning on his face. He went to Jarry and slapped him upside the head. "Where's the money?" Night asked/shouted.

  • Author

"Okay, that is not what I meant. Wasn't two hours ago you wanted to ask him what he knows about the darkness." Allison asked Night. Jarry just punched Night backwards.

"Really? I thought that was your idea," Night said, "But I've been wrong before." Night approached Jarry and tried again. He pulled out a hot dog. "Right, you don't get this until you tell us everything you know about the 'darkness' or whatever."

  • Author

"One, I don't eat meat that I don't understand. Two, Allison you are so not my girl anymore. Three, I think I have a lead to the darkness. Night, your dragon powers can lead you to somthing called a guardian stone. Once there, if your palm, the palm of a dragon, touches the stone, then it will show you the way to the darkness. The stone is located behind the forest in an odd old house. But I don't think I can go with everyone, I am too weak to control my wolf side." Jarry said.

"Well, see ya later then," Night said. Suddenly, he slugged Jarry's face harder than ever before. "And that's for breaking up with the one girl who cares for you, you self-centered overrated jerk!" he said. "You never deserved her, but she stayed by your side anyways, standing your side even when you were wrong. You're right, your are a monster, but not because you're a wolf." He spread his wings. "So, where's the exit?" he asked Allison.

"I'll just take you there." Allison said. She and Nessa and Night then appeared in the forest. Allison ran over to Night and hugged him. "Thanks for what you did in there." Allison said crying.

Surprised, Night returned the hug. "Er, you're welcome. Personally, I thought you would hit me for that, but I think I might like this better." He paused, thinking about what to say next, then continued. "Also, I'm really sorry that you and him didn't work out." Personally, he had also thought that Jarry would run to the next cute girl who came up to him, but he felt that it wasn't appropriate to say at the time.

"I guess it was meant to happen, you have to break a few hearts to get stronger. At least I found it out now instead of later when I wouldn't be around one of the best guys out there." Allison said.
