CHAPTER 1: LIFE TAKES A TURN

Jarry begin his morning like always. He reached school and was in his first period class. The school year had started over again, and he was now in the tenth grade. The class was filling in one by one. Jarry had arrived first since he liked to have time to write in his journal. He looked around as people filled in the classroom. He saw that some of his friends had come into the class, but he just smiled at them and kept writing.

Alison was at her new locker getting it ready for the year. She always made sure that her locker had some style to it. She finished by putting a picture of her family. "There, a new year, a better look." She looked at the time, "Time for class." She said. She walked to her classroom and went inside. She looked around at everyone while she was coming in. She then noticed a boy writing in a journal. She sat down beside him and pulled out her notebook. She started drawing a picture of a rose.

"That wreckage right there-" he pointed to the car-"Is Jarry's car. We found it like this and came to investigate."

"Then how do you feel? Should I take you both to the hospital and start research on my own afterwards, or do you feel well enough to stay? I mean... those burnings seem critical."

Hawk was worried about Night and the guy from his class...

"I'm..." he started before passing out and falling to the ground. In addition to his burns and fatiqe, he had a nasty nosebleed and fever.

Hawk took his coat and wrapped it around Night.

"So it won't hurt that much when I carry him..."

He lifted the teen on his shoulder, then turned to Nessa.

"You can still walk can you?" He asked.

Just as Hawk asked his question, a super green light came over all the area around the woods. The green light gave off a weird power and healed everyone to full health.

"What the?!"

Hawk looked around with Night still on his shoulder.

"First a monster, now that... What is going on today?!"

Night was dreaming. He was in darkness when a voice said,"It's too early." 'What?' "You tried to access my power at too young an age," the voice said. "That's why you're in the state you are now." 'What? Who are you?' Silence, then "A guardian.Haven't you wondered how you were able to survive those fireballs? You drew on my strength years too early, and it drained you." 'Oh. That explains alot.' And then it ended when the green light appeared, and Night woke up. "Wait!" he shouted. "Burgers!"

Hawk put Night down.

"You're OK again? Do you need something?"

After all this Hawk needed... another cigarette...

"I could really use a reality check. One did that really just happen?" Night replied. 'Yes, it did' said a familiar voice in his head said. Night's head shot up. "Who said that!?" (OOC: Please note that the voice is in Night's head and only he cn hear it. Will hopefully make for humorous scenes http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png)

(I dont want to sound bad or anything, but I would like you guys to hurry up here so we can get to the next day. I dont really have anything I can do at this point.)

"You know, I think I'm going crazy, so I think we should all go home and come back tommorow to look for Jarry. If anyone asks anything, deny it. Got it? Nessa, can I hitch a ride? My mom's abandoned me me." Night said.

"Well my home's not far away from here, so I'm off...

should we investigate tomorrow at the same time?"

Hawk asked the other kids.

Nessa looked at Night. "Sure. Let's just go home and talk about this tomorrow before the earth splits open or something." she checked her pocket, relieved she hadn't lost her keys. Suddenly, realization took hold. "My dad is going to kill me! Come on." Nessa started to her car, praying her dad fell asleep or something similar.

"Yep! See ya!" Night called to Hawk as he got into Nessa's car.

The next day, school started again and the class started to fill in one by one. Alison had gotten there before anyone else, and Jarry came in secondly. Jarry was in normal condition. He took his seat beside of Alison. "Good morning." Alison said. "Good morning." Jarry said back.

Night walked into class. "New kid, comin' through!" he shouted cheerfully (and somewhat obnoxiously) with a grin on his face. Then he saw Jarry. "Hey! I know you!" he shouted, pointing at Jarry. "You're that guy who's ID was in that wallet I found!" Then he realized how he said it. 'Aw, crap,' he thought. 'Smooth. Makes it sound like you stole it." the voice in his head said. "I know! Shut up!" he said out loud.

Slowly the Smoke disappeared as the big black boot was walking over the cigarette.

Hawk pulled the silver pocket watch out of the pocket of his jacket.

"Fu--" He started running.

"To late again... I should stand up sooner...." He whispered to himself.

He was lucky that the bell hasn't rung yet. He leaned next to the wall panting and breathing heavily.

"Should... stop... smoking..."

Jarry and Alison looked at Night with a weird look on their faces when Night said he last sentence to no one. "Um...okay one, who are you talking to. Two, how could you find my ID, I had it with me when I drove in my car to my house when I was done with the woods." Jarry said with a confused look on his face. He then pulled out his wallet and his ID, "See."

"Wait, but we found you're car wrecked! There was even a trail of blood! Then there was this big wolf thing and I got 3rd degree burns!" 'They think your crazy,' the voice said. "Gee, you don't say!" Then he thought of something. "I know! I have the wallet I found in my pocket! Give me a moment!" he said. 'Come on, it's here somewhere...' he thought.

"He is speaking the truth."

Hawk said from back of the class.

"I was with them..."

Looked at Hawk like he was a the last trading card on earth. "See! He confirms it! He was there! Nessa can confirm it too!" He was so happy he could cry. 'Don't cry!' said the voice. "I'm not gonna!" he replied. Then he slapped himself. 'Stop talking to me in public!' 'You stop answering me in public! And stop with the hysterics!' "Sorry," Night said.

"Look, you see, here is my wallet, and I left to go home when the storm started. Quite the storm too, it was almost like you could see things that werent really there in it. Anyways, if you need proof, just look outside that window, you will see that my car is in one peace and is parked outside." Jarry said.

Night looked out the window. He gasped. "It can't be..." he whispered. He narrowed his eyes at Jarry. 'He must know something...' he thought. 'Maybe he does,' said the voice. "All right," he asked Jarry. "How did you do it? Look, I've got the wallet right here" he said, finally finding it and pulling it out.

Hawk looked out of the window and smiled.

"So the supernatural exists... that means... more stuff that I could hunt..."

He rammed his silver dagger into his table.

"I'm looking forward to the things that are going to happen..."

"Wait, how did you manage to bring a dagger in school?" Night asked, forgetting that he had his butterknives in his own pocket. "Aren't there rules against that?"
