All you have to do is post any random fact here.

It has to be a FACT, not an OPINION.

One fact per post, and it has to start with "Did you know"

I'll start:

Did you know that there were 3,600 onions on the Titantic?

The smell of a permentant marker can kill brain cells.

Did you know that Kane Hodder of Jason Vorhees fame worked on all four HOUSE films, was a stuntman in three of them, acted in two of them, and was a co-director of the fourth?

In the early 1900's, doctors would give patients "medicine" that wouldn't have any real effect on the body. But the doctor told the patient that it would be life-saving for their illness, even if it didn't do anything.

This "mental curing" of an illness without medication is called the Placebo Effect, and some doctors still use it for patients with sicknesses that take time to heal.

We actually live about 80 milliseconds in the past because that's how long it takes our brains to process information.

Chocolate is probably THE most eaten candy on halloween xD

Did you know the fantasy/horror novel ENDYMION SPRING, by Matthew Skelton , is based partially  on historical events?

The character with the chest in the opening section is a fictional version  of an actual man named Fust, who is believed to have invented movable text printing presses, thus creating book printing.

The mute boy, Endymion Spring, is supposedly based on the actual servant-boy of Fust himself.

cool, huh?

Pumbaa from "The Lion King" was the first character to fart in a Disney movie

Sugar really is bad for me, isn't it.....

The name Wendy was made up for the book "Peter Pan."

The name "Endymion" comes from an old Celtic legend of a sheperdboy so engrossed with watching the moon he allowed his sheep to be devoured by wolves, and was killed.

In English, Endymion roughly translates to " Moon Gazer ".

Do you know why the sun sets red?

Ya see lights made up of a lot of colors.

But red's the one that travels the longest.

The name Wendy was made up for the book "Peter Pan."

My dog like's peanuts xD

Long ago in Japan they held contests to see who could fart the longest and loudest. The winner received gifts and high honors.

Supposedly, America considered dropping red paint on Mt. Fuji during WWII to decrease morale and impose a form of psychological warfare (it is an important symbol in Japan). The idea was dismissed after calculating the cost and amount of paint and oil needed to follow through with such a plan; it would have caused economic problems during a time of war.
