Cosmos, the goddess of harmony. Chaos, god of discord. For many eons they waged endless war, with the fate of the world always in the balance. The battles continued for eternity, until the last few brave warriors defied destiny and destroyed Chaos once and for all. But, just when peace had finally come, a new threat emerges. A threat that could end all things....

It is a dark and calm night, and silence looms over the Lunar Subterraene. Kain stands looking towards the horizon deep in thought. "How is it that I was revived, and more importantly, how did I retain my memories from the last conflict?...." he says. He looks at the starry sky and feels a gentle breeze.

"Huh, it seems as though the only thing he tried to do is test our strengths. Hey, are you allright?", says Vincent as he looks towards Kain. Kain simply looks down and mutters to himself: "Rosa...why did you have to love Cecil, and not me? Why was I not good enough for you...?" Vincent goes to Kain and puts his hand on his shoulder. "Never doubt yourself. If it wasn't meant to be, then don't linger on the thought. What's done is done. Now come on, let's go.",he says as he cautiously walks over to the end of the dimension and into Castle Pandemonium. Kain walks while his head fills with thoughts of what could have been...

Meanwhile, at Where Nothing Gathers, Young Xehanort, "Ansem" and Xemnas all gather together in order while waiting for Master Xehanort who then appears and mearly smirks evilly before talking with his other incarnations.

Vincent walks the halls of Castle Pandemonium, while Kain follows closely behind. They ascend the floors until they reach the top floor. "Hmph, I guess it's a dead end, and still no signs of Cosmos. We should keep searching.",says Vincent. "I wonder if Golbez is all right...?", says Kain almost in an unheard tone. "He's all right. Trust me, it'll take a lot to put that guy down. Now come on, let's rest here for the night and continue looking for Cosmos tomorrow.", says Vincent as he leans near a pillar and sleeps, with his gun clutched in his hand. Kain simply stands silently, pondering the words Xemnas spoke.

Terra-Xehanort in his outfit during his time as one of Ansem the Wise's apprentices appears alongside Shuyin with Shuyin "So....all i got to do is take care of these two and then you'll keep your end of the bargain?" while Xehanort replies by mearly saying "of course, that is, IF you beat them." before using a Corridor of Darkness to leave Shuyin behind with both Vincent and Kain.

Vincent silently sleeps while Kain keeps wide awake. "I can't rest...I might as well be a lookout..",he thinks to himself when he suddenly feels a presence.

"Sorry but you gotta die now." said Shuyin, as he attacked Kain from behind.

Kain falls to the floor and then he stands up. "What? Who are you!? Are you one of Chaos's minions?", he says preparing for battle. Vincent wakes up and points his pistol to Shuyin's head. "Talk before I decide to shoot you.", says Vincent to Shuyin.
