So excuse me if there has been a topic about this already but...

 

 

 

 

It's revealed later that Riku subconcously went into Sora's heart to protect him from the danger Ansem SoD was planning. Serving as a dream eater of some sort. What I'm still confused about is that a theory being that Riku wakes up (in the first cutscene of TT) where Sora goes to sleep, so it says that when Sora goes to sleep Riku basicly serves as a protector. What I don't understand is how Riku and Sora can see each other in Traverse Town if one of them is supposed to be sleeping while the other is active. I thought maybe they went into Joshua's dreams maybe? I'm not sure. Any thoughts?

 

 

 

well u see its true that riku was sort of soras dream eater or watever but why they can see each other is because of what i theorize is the dream link. u see i theorize that since riku is soras "Dream eater" then that means riku can see soras dream of when he was in traverse town and why sora can see riku is because riku is the savior of soras dream so he becomes a part of the dream itself and so thats why they can see each other. or pretty much what u said that they both were in joshuas dream, but that didnt make any sense to me as to how they would have gotten into joshuas dream in the first place. sorry if i wrote too much

That's a very good theory! I was always wondering if Sora and Riku's part of the stories were happening at the same time or they switch out, which I always thought that Sora/Riku's story pauses when they go to sleep,

i dont know if they happen simultaneously, but the drop gauge seems to prove that while one character goes to sleep the other dreams the world hes in and as they switch between sora and riku they each have diff dreams but as i said before, riku is soras dream eater soooo there dreams are connected and so this is why riku visits the same worlds that sora does. make any sense?

yes that could also be another reason as to why sora sees riku and riku sees sora. but remember that there dreams are connected

yea lol it messed me up to but then i just theorized something from the facts of the game
