CH1the battle begins

 

 

Pokemon Rangers, the guardians of pokemon and people alike. they are a symbol of peace in the elemental isle and are loved by all." recited an old man in his 60s. he wore a rustic red cloak, loose clothes, and walked with a cane.

 

"Head Chairmen Reece!" yelled a young man with short brown hair,wearing a ranger uniform running toward Reece.

 

The man turned his head away from the sunrise he was watching "what is it Mitch?" He asked.

 

"The new Students are coming!" Mitch replied.

 

"Good," said Reece as he returned to the sunrise.

 

"Ok, Ill go to the dock and welcome them" said Mitch, annoyed about rushing to tell Reece about the news.

 

-----------------------------------------------------------------Later that day

 

As the sunrise ended Reece walked to the bookshelf and pulled out an old leather bound book. he then opened it to the first page and began to read. "Pokemon Rangers are born fearless, Kind, and caring. they beleve pokemon and people are equals. and as such are protectors of both. A Ranger is born when a top student graduates and is entrusted with a styler. A styler is a device used to bind the ranger s and pokemons feelings. a partner pokemon is more than a pet, more than a companion, it is a friend. A ranger is a hero that destroys evil." Reece closed the book and looked at the title "What it means to be a ranger" he smiled and then opened the book to a blank page a inserted a photo of a group of rangers and himself. He sighed "Back to work. and welcome to the top ranger acadamey good luck to the new students." He said to himself. "Welcome to Unity island."

"man, you can't just let being blown off by a child hit you THAT hard." Sara said, looking at Mitch kindly. "it's not that bad." she said.

he sighed "no no its normal for that to happen. I may be a top ranger but apparently i dont look like one." he said "Any way i wont be giving the big speech i am here to welcome you to this school and hope you have a great time now then the principal of this school Chairman Reece." he said as he walked away still sulking a bit.

the sound was coming from behind the cutains that stood beyond the poduim. it sounded like a wooden stick tapping on a floor. soon an old man walked out from behind it and up to the podium. behind him walked a Kingler. "Welcome students, to the top ranger acadamy the place where all famed rangers began. as will you. i am chairmen reece and i am your principal. you all seem to have very different personalities. all of which vary to show your compatablity with your partner pokemon. Your partners are all basic pokemon but as you grow they will as well as did my kingler and mitch's jumpluff." said the old man "Here you will see your partners grow and become strong just like you.. there are classes that may force to surpass your limitations here at the acadamy. others may be easier for you and without breaking a sweat your can acomplish them. I would be glad to see you working hard at what you do best. so then let us get to the part you may want to really know." a monitor lowered down behind him as a few pictures of rangers and their pokemon appeared on the screen. some in action other not. you are a select group of rangers who are at the top of your classes at your original islands in more ways than one. you all have your different strengths and weaknesses so by combining your strengths to climb the obsticals that challenge you, you and your allys my over come obsticals you may be unable to surpass alone. now then i hope you all are prepared for what challenges you may face in your year at our fine acadamy welcome all of you" he said before he stopped and looked at who was there "uh there are a few people who cut this lecture i see"

 

 

Zephyr looked around and saw everyone he saw at the docks

 

 

Mitch ran up to Reece and whispered into his ear

 

"Whaaaattt! what do you mean a few boats cant return?!"

 

Mitch whispered something else

 

"What do you mean the current is too strong!"

 

Mitch whispered again and Reece looked at the students and then covered the microphone. the two began to bicker

 

 

 

"this is rediculous" said Zephyr.

"I guess something's up," Alice said thoughtfully.

"This looks bad." Mark thought. "Hopefully they can figure something out." He muttered.

"What a way to begin our first day...," whispered Alice. Torchic sighed quietly.

the currents to strong...? Sara thought. She stopped messing with the end of her cape and leaned backwards. Ghastly hovered beside her. wonder if we could help... she thought. "that would be fun for a first day." she whispered to herself, chuckling a bit.

"Maybe we could help them, Torch, but... I dunno..." Torchic tilted its head "Chic?" it asked.

Reece let go of the microphone and cleared his throat. "Excuse me for the delay. um I hope you have a great first day. Mitch will show you each to your rooms and show you around the school" he said before leaving. his kingler behind him

 

Mitch looked at the students "uuuhhhhhh well um follow me ill show you around" he said as he headed to the door

 

 

Zephyr stood up. he had his face down in shame "How did i get stuck with teachers who are idiots!" he said

Mark looked at Zephyr for a moment before turning back to Mitch. "Seems like they don't want us to know what's going on." Mark thought. He stood up from his chair and began following Mitch.

(im just gonna say i was there)

 

Alexia stood up "this is one strange school" she said to herself as she looked around finding herself the shortest of the students. she still held her zigzagoon in her arms as if it were a stuffed animal. "aww why am i always the smallest!"

Sara stared at Mitch curiously. she soon stood up, walking to Mitch as her Ghastly followed. they dont want us to know... she thought as she smiled slightly.

Is that even fair, Alice thought, not letting us know? Aww, what a spoilsport.

 

Alice stood up and let her Torchic down and glared at Mitch as she walked toward him.

Mitch led them down to a hall way explaining what rooms were what along the way. then he smiled and turned "alright now then students there are 17 rooms here one for each island ranger. you can pick one and only one and that room will be yours. also this hallway belongs to you students. you can do whatever you like in the confinds of this hallway and your rooms but the school will not be liable. so have fun and your first class starts in an hour" he said leaving

Sara watched Mitch leave. "we just... Choose?" she said. Shrugging she looked at the others. "ok then..." she said. Ghastly hovered above her silently. She walked into a room, closing the door behind her. "well Ghastly, I guess this is where we stay." she said. Ghastly hovered around a bed.

"Alright." Mark said as he walked towards the room closest to him. He opened the door, stepping inside with his Oddish following beside him. Closing the door behind them he turned to survey the room. Mark went over to sit on the chair while Oddish wandered around the room.

Zephyr went next and chose the room fathest back as then laid on his bed in the dark staring at the ceiling "ive been here only shortly and Ive alredy begun to hate this place" he said

Alice observed closely, which room everyone chose. After a moment, she closed her eyes, walked front, turned to her left and entered the random room she chose. Torchic jumped happily over to the window pane and called for Alice's attention. "Wow..." Alice breathed. The view offered a lovely landscape to the island. "It's gonna be a perfect training spot for us," she said, looking at a specific area.

Mitch left sheets on a table with the classes and another sheet with directions

"What's this?" Alice asked

Zephyr stayed in his room

Mark went to check the papers. He looked between the schedule and directions seeing where the classes were.

A gust blew through the window of the room and scattered the papers everywhere before Alice could take a look. KH3Dopeningftw.

"Uh oh." Mark said as he went to the window and closed it. He picked up the papers and handed them to Alice.

"uh, hey, thanks," Alice said smiling at Mark. Maybe it will be fun here after all, she thought.

~30 Minutes till 1st period~

 

Zephyr just laid in his bed within the silence and the darkness.

 

Nincada scuttled around near him.
