can dream eaters (allies) die?

Posted

i searched the forums but i cant find the threads to answere my question. do you dream eater allies die? or do they like pass out like Donald and goofy in kh and kh2? or will they be knocked out untill you revive them. or do they permenantly die if you ignore them?

I think once their health is depleted you have 30 seconds to revive them, or else they turn into dream pieces. But I've only seen gameplay and when their health is out, a timer comes on for 30 seconds and in the combat log it says something like "Revive your dream eater, or else it will turn back into dream pieces!"

knocked out until you revive them

Why would they die?

so in to the ingreadients you used to make them? so i used 7 (some sort of icecream cone) and 8 ( some kind of fantasy) and they die, i get all peices back? and i can make the exact same dream eater i had a while ago??

so how would that work for the ar spirits?

Why would they die?

because i hear they do

They drop pieces that you used to make them with. But keep in mind, they only drop some, not all. So if you get all the right pieces you could remake the dream eater that died. And for the ar spirits can't you just reuse the code?

Heartless, Nobodys and Unversed die, so why wouldn't Dream Eaters?

i hear that once you save your game after you use the ar card, you can't re scan them. so i wonder how would thoes ar-card spirits go

Good logic.

If in battle they run out of health, a 30 second timer appears and you have to rush over and spam A to revive them. This is a nuisance in boss battles and you can die while you're saving them.

I've never had a spirit die, so I don't know exactly what happens, but I think they drop some but not all of the dream pieces you need to remake them. I thought the spirits you get from AR were just rare, but I guess if they're exclusive to the AR cards then you're firetrucked if they die. Somehow I doubt the AR cards are reusable.

Hmm well can't help ya there, sorry. I would just say, if you have ar Dream Eaters in your party make sure they don't die. And it's pretty easy not to, since you have 30 seconds to reach them, then take 2 seconds to revive them. The only time it would be hard would be during a boss fight, due to so much going on.

I didn't know Heartless, Nobodys and Unversed were your allies.

Why does it matter if they're your allies? A Dream Eater is a Dream Eater, I would think if a nightmare can die, a spirit can to. Otherwise there would be ALOT of spirits roaming around

I don't know....maybe because theres a difference that Square could make between them because they are your allies.

Dream Eaters don't die they faint. :D

If a Dream Eater runs out of health, a thirty second timer starts. If it runs out, they split back into their components, which means that you can rebuild them, but you would have to start from scratch.

Not looking.....but I'll take your word for it.

Is it cause of spoilers?

I Think if the timer runs out, they go away forever and you need to get them again by Creating them.

That... Kinda sucks... I don't wanna lose my poor little dream eaters... *sigh* looks like I actually have to worry about my teammates this time...

Thirty seconds is a LONG time

There shouldn't be much trouble, unless you're doing a critical mode level 1 playthrough.

And what if I am, then I lose my poor little meowjesty...

Then you rebuild it

lol, I let one of them die in the demo to check and see how long 30 seconds was. It was ridiculously long. I let two dream eaters die just because I could, lol.

Then you rebuild it

We can rebuild him, stronger, faster, better!!!

If you have the demo you can see for yourself, It doesn't put up a tutorial about how to revive them but you can see the timer and stuff, I had this happen but I didn't see what would happen after the timer goes out...I didn't want it to die :( I thinks that another reason they put in 3 dream eaters instead to just 2
