The title is pretty self explanitory here. Which game series seems to have the better music?

 

I'm going to have to go with Zelda here. While Final Fantasy has a good many songs that I love, the music in Zelda always seems to embelish the game as a whole. It always sets the right atmosphere and tone, accenting the feeling of the dungeon or world you find yourself in. It just always seem to increase the overall experience of the game.

I've been playing Zelda games much longer than FF, so I get a much better feeling of nostalgia and overall emotion from Zelda.

I mean, I cried while listening to the 25th anniversary soundtrack.

Don't get me wrong, I love FF music almost as much. It's a very close 2nd

I think the music from Final Fantasy series is best (specially the themes composed for Nobuo Uematsu)

because the Zelda themes are the same since Ocarina of Time but with some arrangements, are memorable but not the best.

Zelda all the way. It was the first game that I could hear the music and think of that game, it will always be amazing

Zelda, final fantasy has some pretty good tracks too, but when I compare the two, lets take OoT for example, that game had a whole bunch of amazing tracks all alone, forget the rest of the zelda games, and if you do look at the other zelda games you see a similar pattern. Plus Ballad of the Goddess = yballuL s'adleZ how clever is that lol...maybe I'm being a tad biased, but Zelda all the way.

Have you actually listened the songs? Lol if it's just about THAT leitmotiv you are really writing this by intention
