Dream Drop Distance has shown that Square Enix has no trouble adding plot points to old plot points
So my question is this; if they bothered to add, and remove, mind you, a ENTIRELY new Kairi lookalike, why didn't they try anything else? Why was the rest of the game to bland in terms of plot points? Surely, if they were willing to take THAT risk, they could have tried some new things elsewhere?
Instead, it seems like the game played it INCREDIBLY safe. The new enemies are recolours. There's barely any Disney. The combat system is a significant downgrade, with the only new ideas LIMITING what you can do.
And yet there was SO MUCH that could have been touched on, even not taking DD into account.

It's just so strange...
