Question about aquiring AR cards and comparing MoM to standard

Posted

Just so I know when I go to the store later: I was wondering with the North American regular edition of Kingdom Hearts 3D do the AR cards come inside the case or are you supposed to be given them seperately?

Also is the Mark of Mastery's copy of the game virtually identical to the regular edition of the game in terms of inserts and case art?

I was mosty curious because I preordered a regular edition (just in case my MoM edition took long in the mail) which entitles me to the preorder 3 AR cards. I just want to make sure I get them. Also since I already have a Mark of Mastery edition on the way, I was planning on keeping except for the game inside which I would return for my money back on the standard edition. This way since my MoM edition is going to take up to 10 days to get here in the mail, I can still play the game in the meantime. Thanks for any help (and sorry if it is a little confusing).

The 3 pre-order AR cards are just the cards that come with all first run copies of the game. MoM = Regular edition with some shitty extras.

The cards are in the game case BTW.

I noticed in the unboxing video that SquareEnixNA put up they said that they were basically doing a double unboxing video for both versions since the standard edition just comes with the game. When they opened it the AR cards weren't inside, but I'm assuming that is because the MoM comes with 5 cards so they just package it on the outside. Yet other unboxing videos of the standard edition show no AR cards inside. I guess as long as the game looks the same I should be able to return my MoM copy (just the game) with my standard copy reciept.

Strange, my copy had 3 inside together in a wrapping.

This.

I got two AR cards in my standard game case.

Wow apparantly GameStop allowed me to pre-order a Mark of Mastery edition online while they were out of stock back in mid June. I called today and they siad the reason it had not shipped yet was because they sold to many copies. I'm pretty disappointed in them as I thought better of them to do something like this compared to other companies. It's a good thing I preordered a standard edition at Futureshop, at least I get a 3DS case pre-order bonus from them. I'm hoping it's a KH themed one thought because that's what I wanted most from MoM (if I have to I'll live without the bonus 2 dream eaters from MoM). I'll keep my preorder from gamestop in the very small chance they get a MoM in.
