I just beat the Wargoyle with Riku, and I'm still in Notre Dame as Sora. I noticed my Dream Eaters are around level 9-13 at this point, then I saw when I clicked to auto drop that Sora was level 1. I assume Riku is also level 1..

 

I checked it said : 0 Next Level: 40.

 

Is this normal that I am not leveling at all? I'm on proud mode

When I read the beginning I knew what was probably happening. You're playing with Zero EXP on, which doesn't level you up, obviously. You can turn that off you want (I think, haven't played KH3D yet) in the ability screen.

Yes you can indeed turn it off

From what I've seen, DDD automatically equips any abilities you gain. After this encounter, it'd be best to check your abilties when you start playing on Critical.

Turn it off.
