My RPs usually die....that may be because I RP on a dead site but.........still...

 

You are a land jungle animal. Volcanic eruptions have recently wiped out most of the community, except for a small group. You are one of the surviving animals in this group. Miles of forest have already been destroyed by the magma. The eruptions are quickly becoming more violent and frequent. The island is only so big. At this rate, there is little time before all the forestry is destroyed. Then the survivors will not have a home. Birds who have recently fled the island via air claim there is an island not so far from this one. But, even those of the group who can swim, would not be able to swim far enough to it. There is no other land in sight, yet you and your group must survive and leave the island before the whole thing is uninhabitable

Pikaia dropped her head down to scan the forest floor from where she was coiled around a large branch. Nothing. It seemed as if absolutely all other life had dissapeared. It seemed like she hadn't had a meal in ages, and she squeezed the branch in frustration. Suddenly, a pile of leaves rustled. A mole had come up. Eyeing it curiously, she noticed it's fur looked strange. Darker than usual. No matter, she silently slid down the tree trunk and sped to the mole, where she skewered it with her backward-facing fangs. The bite itself was enough to kill the small animal. Had it been larger, she would have curled herself around it and constricted, as most constrictor did, every time it exhaled, until it could no longer drawn in breath and suffocated. Pikaia would have like that; her favorite part was the initial bite, with which she would grab the animals face, and everytime it tried to pull away it would hinge itself deeper onto her fangs. But, the mole would have to do. Examining it more closely, she realized its fur was singed. Thinking nothing of it, Pikaia easily swalled the mole. As she slithered away from its fatal spot, the ground began to rumble. Not really the ground itself, but as if something far away were violently shaking and churning, and was sending vibrations throughout the island. It quickly passed, leaving an ominous stillness, leaving one awaiting another outburst.

Taiga was climbing a tree... he eventually reached the top, and sprawled his legs over the outstretching limbs...

He took a nap... twirling his tail...

Pikaia hurridly ascended a tree. She looked up at the branch to see a sleeping tiger. It was like some weird metaphor. splintering off onto a lower branch, she crossed over to a different tree. She twisted her way up high, but still keeping the tiger in sight. She curled herself around the branch, and waited. She didn't feel like leaving, and knew she wasn't nearly large enough to eat a tiger; although, she told herself, if he died there she wouldn't mind it.

A few hours later, Taiga awoke... one lazy eye opened, a snake... oh how he despised snakes... he growled... rose to his feet, balanced himself... and swept a large paw (claws out) at the snake...

Pikaia recoiled at the swipe. Though she was above him and well out of his reach, she still instinctively pulled her head back. Slowly, she began to uncoil her tail; still staring down at the once sleeping tiger. Suddenly, another rumble shook the earth. Well, just the island, but this one was bigger. A strange noise could be heard far off. Pikaia regained her grip on the branch. Panic began seeping into her, but she stayed motionless, as one could in a swaying tree, keeping her eye on the tiger the whole time; yet allowing herself to be thrashed around with the bracnh.

Taiga looked glanced in the direction of the rumbling...

Not moving, Pikaia followed the tiger's gaze. There was smoke off in the distance. And eventually, it would be here.

The Tiger, so intent in figurong out the new ... something... coming toward them, didn;t notice as he stepped on a dead branch... sending him tumbling down the the forest below

Kitsune saw a tiger falling down, and ran towards him, she tried to help him up.

(Sure Ran! )

 

Pikaia stayed frozen where she was; even as she watched the tiger's misstep, causing him to fall down out of the tree. Although, she wasn't sure if it was because she didn't want to ever seem surprised, or because of the panic she still possesed, fearing the strange quakes. The smoke in the distance was thinning. A movement below soon caught her eye. A red fox was running over to the fallen tiger.

Taiga stood up, screeching... he saw the Fox...he weakly tried to wipe at it... but fell over instead... he was still discombobulated...

Kitsune laughed at the tiger and turned away. (What a clumsy tiger, fallingdown like that!!!) Thought the fox.

Pikaia watched as the fox scampered away. Slowly she began uncurling herself from the branch and twisting down the tree trunk. She slipped under the leaves and curled around the base of the tree trunk to wait.

Tiaga limped over to the tree and attempted to climb it...

Pikaia shrunk back from the base as the tiger drew near. She stifled back a snicker as the wounded tiger tried to lift himself into the tree. Winding her tail around, she decided to mess with him. She tapped his left paw with the tip of her tail as he reached up the tree.

The Tiger Attempted to take a swipe at her again...

Pikaia drew back her tail as the tiger swiped and wiggled around to tap his other paw. It was too easy, there was no challenge in messing with an injured animal. Although, Pikaia couldn't resist the thought of teasing the helpless beast. She'd stop once something else caught her interest.

Taiga tried to sleep, but with the snake pestering him constantly...

He growled...

Kitsune was bored. She went to find a tree to sleep on.

Pikaia giggled to herself at the sound of the tiger's war. Poor thing to used up to even try to attack her. After the tiger lay down to sleep again, she spiraled up the tree to the lowest branch above the tiger. She drooped down her tail and rested the tip on his ear.
