So Ansem and Xemnas were created when Xehanort was defeaed. BUT wasnt he alive. I mean Xehanort. Didnt he remain alive and had been carried to Radiant Garden castle? And why did he said his name was Ansem?? I'm confused... ;/

They weren't created until 1 year AFTER Aqua defeated Terra-Xehanort. During that year, T-X studied under Ansem The Wise and eventually learned how to create Heartless and Nobodies. Naturally, T-X used himself as one of the test subjects, resulting in "Ansem" Seeker Of Darkness (Heartless) and Xemnas (Nobody).

 

As for stealing ATW's name, I dunno.

ansem and xemnas were created after BBS..it was when Terranort became a heartless...at the castle that's where they were created...He said his name was Ansem to replace Ansem the Wise since he thought of himself the true seeker of understanding the heart and going to the fullest of it's power

Given that Terranort remembered bits and pieces of being Master Xehanort, who is much "wiser" than Ansem The Wise, you have to wonder why Terranort would want to pass himself off as someone of a lesser understanding?

 

Maybe Terra had something to do with it (wanted to escape being "Xehanort" somehow, hated his own identity for failing to save his friends or defeat MX, saw ATW as a respectable Eraqus-like mentor, etc.)?

it is not confirmed it Terranort really lost his memories or was only pretending...he might have even faked just to get inside the castle and do more advanced research and find the way to create the 13 darknesses since he knew that he needed 7 pure lights and 13 darknesses to create the X-blade...and so he was testing everyone to see which was the best suited to have part of his heart inside them...Well he considered himself being Ansem bcs he was his apprentice and since Ansem the Wise is considered the wiser there,Terranort advanced with his wisdom so he called himself Ansem

Plus, if you watch the beginning of DDD where Terranort stabs Braig and then says, "My name is Ansem", you'll notice that his voice sounds awfully confused and hesitant.

He took Ansem the wise's name so he could control Radiant Garden.
