Long before the three heroes -Ventus, Aqua, and Terra- set foot in another world, long before even the terror of Master Xehanort could even be prophesied....long ago when Keyblade warriors were many.

"Soon." I promised, "J-just not now..."

"But,my Master says I need love." She blushed darkly,

"Love...love for what..to open the heart? Who even is your master..? I assumed he was just some magical professor.." Silver said, unsure of what she meant.

"I can't say...but I can say that love opens the heart to light.." She moved to him."And that your my light..."

"Erm.." He swallowed. He felt strangely nervous. He was known as the happiest of all the guards...how could he let this get to him?

"Okay...one hug.." He said, giving her a small hug for comfort.

Skye tilted her head up to his and gave him a light kiss."I've fallen for you..."

Her soft lips met Silver's. He gasped, sucking in a sudden gust of air.

He couldn't believe it. She had kissed him! Out of the blue! His face grew red and he soon started to shake a bit. "We-we've gotta hurry..." He stammered, walking up to the lock. It must have been the kiss, as a warm glow shined from the keyhole as the lock and chain clattered to the ground.

"Did you like my kiss at least?" She asked. At least her plan had worked. Her Master was right.

"It was fine." Silver admitted. He didn't want to say that he loved it. He wasn't ready yet. "Alright, now all we have left it the mansion itself.."

"Yes." She smiled. "We need to save everyone." She agreed.

She walked up to the mansion."The door is..unlocked and open. Creepy...."

Silver nodded and pushed the door open farther. The main courtyard was a small, square garden that was surprisingly well-cared for. It seemed that someone in the mansion still roamed about, as the carefully cut grass and flowers (of all different colors) showed someone put a great deal of effort into it.

The foyer of the mansion was extravagant. Directly in front of them was a set of beautiful wooden steps with a thick crimson carpet that lead up to the second floor--where one could see the overhand that lead to various rooms. A great glass chandelier hung directly above them, acting as the source of light for the room.

Silver walked to the center of the foyer, where beneath him the carpet showed a star like symbol. Beyond the stairs, there were two other passages that lead directly beside it.

"Why are there lights and why is this place well cared for?" She asked aloud. "I heard the staff all died...."

"As did I. Were the rumors untrue..?" Silver murmured, clutching his sword. They had to focus on the mission at hand. They couldn't let themselves be gripped by uncertainty and fear. They were Guards--the sworn protectors of their town.

"If whoever lives here has them, then perhaps we should check the basement...they might be locked down there. It just seems logical.."

"Yes,let's go in then." She walked in the house.

Their feet made no noise as they walked on the thick, plush carpet. Silver breathed in slowly. The house smelt....clean. Like someone recently swept in and cleaned the whole room. There wasn't a scent of mold nor mildew. Silver sighed and peered down the hallway to the left of the stairs. The hall was lit by electric sconces on the walls, and showed a long empty hallway besides a few boring paintings and doors. The right hallway was practically a replica of the left.

"Alright...which way to go?"

"Let's split up,this place isn't that big." She said.

  • Author

"Are you sure..?" He asked her, "I know you can take care of yourself...but what are we going to do if the other gets hurt?"

It was a proper question. If they split up...well, who knew how big this place actually was. It could lead so far that if one of them got hurt, the other would never know.

"Let's meet up here in a hour,if one doesn't show up leave and get help." She ordered.

  • Author

"Fair enough." Silver said, "I'll take the right then. See yah in an hour."

He smiled and waved as he ran down the right corridor. It was a long corridor with several doors along the right side. On the left were only a few. Silver opened the first one to find a grand dining hall. It wasn't a massive place for ice cream socials, but could easily house a large group. A long table dominated the room in its shiny glory. It was already prepared as if some servants would come bustling in to bring in the food. There was a door on the other side, which Silver guessed lead to the other corridor. The next door on the left wall was an large kitchen...which was just as devoid of occupants as the rest of the mansion.

Skye ran down the other hall and went in the first door she saw. It was a bathroom."Uh,I guess we can use the restroom..."

Silver began to search the rooms on the other sides. A bathroom and a few unoccupied bedrooms. The whole damned place was emtpy.

"What is going on here?! Where is my sister!" He hissed, slamming a fist against the wall.

On Skye's side, the next door to be opened did actually contain someone. A young woman in a fine dress was sitting on the edge of window sill and quietly reading from a book. She sighed and dropped the poor book on the floor."Did not end the way I had hoped.." She sighed, glancing at the door where Skye stood. She frowned, "Who're you? A new maid? What are you doing in my room?"

"Eh~ Close one,I'm here to bring you home!" She smiled. "Your brother is here with me. The whole town was worried!" She exclaimed.

The rest of the corridor revealed nothing for Silver. There was only one door that was locked, and instead of finding the key (as it would take too long) he elected to smash the door down with the butt of his sword. The door was surprisingly hefty, and managed to stand its place against several blows before he smashed it down. What he found was nothing of importance....just a boring closet with cleaning supplies inside.

The woman sighed and shook her head.

"I am not leaving. I don't even have a brother. Who are you? If you're lost, go upstairs. My so-called fiance is up there training the new maids..."

"What there are other's here?!" She almost yelled.

  • Author

"What others?" The woman asked, "No one ever bothers to come around here. You're the first I've seen. Just who are you?"
