Long before the three heroes -Ventus, Aqua, and Terra- set foot in another world, long before even the terror of Master Xehanort could even be prophesied....long ago when Keyblade warriors were many.

"Ow!" Jade mumbled after hitting the ground...hard. 'Your people need to learn manners Ceal." She said. She got up and started to walk away. "Feel free to find me after your gard learns manners." She mumbled and 'hmph' and went to look for Forin.

A guard grabbed Jade by the shoulder.

"Not so fast, little lady." The guard said fiercely, "You're coming with us. Lord Ansem has many questions for you."

With that, the Guards escorted both Cealus and Jade back to the Castle.

Damn! Cealus thought, I shouldn't have came to the Castle...I almost forgot the reason I left...

"Let go of me! You don't have any right to touch me!" She said clearly mad. She sighed. "So much for earning a rep...dang gard. Learn your place, huh!" She said in her mind.

The guard sighed. I certainly do not get paid enough to deal with annoying teenagers....

Both Cealus and Jade were guided into the Castle, and the guards lead them into the room Cealus had entered before- The Lord's Chamber.

There, sat Ansem in his desk, along with the other man from before. "Ah! Cealus....you've returned...and you've...brought a friend. I see." Ansem said, standing up.

"You know...you've been missing for awhile. I know you've been with those Wielders....something I specifically told you not to do. And yet you still did! I had to play it off like everything was fine. I have a reputation, you know."

Cealus sighed. "B-but, father! I've been fine! There's no way I can be harmed! I've haven't been there too long, but I really like it!"

"Um Ceal? How many people know you ran away? They won't keep you." Jade looked at the floor. "Uh...wow~ I didn't know he wanted to have a Key-Blade so much." She thought.

Cealus sighed, looking away. "As far as I can tell...only my dad..." Cealus looked back at Jade, appearing rather sad. "I'm sorry Jade...for getting you into this."

Ansem grumbled something, and the other man turned. "If I may, sir." The man said, and Ansem nodded. With that, the other man left.

"Cealus....I understand your willingness to carry on the Keyblade. You've been kept up in this Castle far too long...but I do not trust the Wielders. Not one bit." Ansem shook his head, looking out the window.

"Go...for now. I must...think things over."

"Did you...just...judge...me?" Jade asked. She looked at the floor with a glare. "I can't believe...there are people...like this...." She's stares at the floor. Jade let's out a long sigh.

Cealus looked at Jade. "What? No! I'm just..ergh....I..just didn't want you to have to see me like this...I'm sorry." With that, Cealus walks out of the room ,and out of the Castle itself. Ansem said.

"The boy was always soft. Best you go get him girl. Before he does something drastic."

Jade turned and went after him. "Wa~it~ I didn't mean to hurt you Ceal!" Jade followed him outside. "I'm sorry~ D-d-don't be mad." She said. "Please stop-please...I don't want lose you...." She said, she was shakeing a bit.

"No...it's fine. It' my fault after all....I nearly forgot why I had left in the first place. It's not that I don't care for my father- I do- but..." Cealus shook his head, "It doesn't matter." He looked at Jade, attempting a half-hearted smile.

"Let's go. There's still some neat stuff to see here....besides, the Heartless from before...I'm getting the feeling there's more."

Jade nodded. "Yeah, most likly." She said. She weakly smiled blushing. "Anyway let's leave quickily." She said. She gave another weak smile. "Yeah...sorry, I get touchy when it comes to the Key-Blade." Jade quickly added.

"It's alright." Cealus said, his cocky smile returning. "There's one guy who lives around here....alot of people are edgy around him, but I think he's cool."

Cealus pointed nearby, in one of the many houses.

"His name is Merlin. He's some wizard or something. He was the first guy to tell me about the Keyblade."

"That's sounds neat!" She said draging Ceal over to the wizard's home."Let's go inside." Jade smiled warmly and laughed. "It's my other dream besides the Key-Blade." Jade beamed.

Cealus, suddenly bright red in the face, quickly opened the door to Merlin's abode. Inside, the quirky wizard was going over some books, though these books were floating a few feet off the ground. He turned when he heard the door open. A small group of his trusty mop-servants swished their way over to Cealus and Jade.

"Ah! Cealus!" Merlin said with glee, opening his arms. "It's been awhile! Where have you been all this time?"]

"Oh you know.. stuff." Cealus responded meekly.

"Hi~ I'm Jade~" Jade said with a wide smile. She then had a goofy thought: "Wounder how old he is???" She sighed. "Seems Like the Heartless aren't around anymore." "Hey um Ceal?" She asked.

Cealus turned to look at Jade. "Ya? What do you need?"

Jade smiled."Nevermind ir doesn't see important now." She said. "They're behind us." She said with a careful glance behind her. "Yeah, there there alright." She gave herself a nod.

"Oh, okay." Cealus said, looking back behind him, sighing, he looked back at Merlin.

"Uh, Merlin sir..." Cealus said, watching Merlin multitask as he brewed a potion, commanded his broom-servants, and listened to Cealus all at the same time.

"I was wondering what you knew about the, uh, Heartless." Cealus said, and Merlin cocked his head to one side.

"Heartless? I'm afraid I've never heard of them!"

Jade sighed. "Well that would be what happens." She mumbled. "Soon you'll wish you still hadn't. They'll-the Heartless I mean- be the ruin of this world and everyothe alike." She said with a said tone.

  • Author

"Indeed." Merlin whispered, stroking his beard, flipping a few pages in his floating book.

"Well, thank goodness you two came along to tell me that." He whispered, a few incantations, and then looked at Cealus. "What are these Heartless made of, do you know?"

Cealus pondered that for a moment, looking rather perplexed. "I think they're made of pure darkness...so, I guess light magic would work best, right?"

Merlin nodded. "Precisely! Oh, I must certainly tell the Lord this...." With that, Merlin scooped up his book, and before Cealus could warn Merlin, the old wizard was gone.

"Um,sorry." Jade said. She looked at her feet. "Maybe we should find Forin." She said. " Please." She wispered, she just wanted to leave this world. "Before your dad-"She doesn't finsh her words.

"Yeah." Cealus said, smiling. "Thank you, Jade."

Forin walked about the town, feeling alone.

"Those idiots just don't understand." She muttered, reffering to both Cealus and Jade. "They're both too naive..."

She continued to mumble like this, stopping when she realized she had hit the edge of the town. Beyond her, was a locked gate, and presumably terrain beyond.

But something....something whispered in Forin's ear.

Come to me. It said.

"Come on~" Jade said running out the door. "Let's hurry. I just got a really bad feeling." She said. "Hurry it up." She said and stopped and waited for Ceal. She sighed. "So slow." She thought.

Cealus tucked his arms in, and sighed. "All right, whatever." He said, quickly chasing after Jade for the umpteenth time.

~

"Wha-what...?" Forin whispered, looking around for anyone. There was no one.

Come to me. The voice whispered again, I feel your sadness. You long for things that you feel will never be true. I can make it them real. Come to me.

"Where...are you...?" Forin said outloud, slightly scared. Don't be scared, The Voice whispered back, I will not harm you. Exit this town. Find my castle...

"Oh,come on Ceal no need to be mad." She said. "I could of dragged you out." Jade said. She gave a smile. "Anyway, where could she be?" Jade asked. "I don't know the area every well."
