No everyone called it the Race of the Century. Heck this is USA coverage of the event. And the fact is some of the greatest swimmers of all time competed. Heck look at that top five.

Wasn't the Olympics or the Commonwealth Games and wasn't the Race of the Century.

No, but it was a sign of whats to come when Phelps is in his prime.

And hardly anyone saw it. Because most people only care about the Olympics and Commonwealth games.

Hardly anyone means anyone saw it. There were witnesses, hence the youtube vid and its views.

Hardly anyone meaning not a lot.

So you agree that anyone still saw him, which means witnesses(people at the event and the 339,981 and counting views on the youtube vid)

Nope. I said not that many people saw it compared to The Race of The Century.

Sora, just stop.

It takes two Cricket.

Personally, being from Maryland, I'm tired of hearing about Phelps. Yes, he's a SUPERB swimmer and YES he's the best at this point in time. Until someone bests him, which they will because now everyone is training to be better than Phelps, even Lochte who already beat him once. I'm more interested in watching the next olympics, and see seeing who stuns us then.

I totally agree. It's just like USA's dominance in the Olympics alongside China. It's very annoying and boring. Sure we all love our teams in sport having extended periods of dominance. But decades worth is boring. And this is coming from a supporter of the New England Patriots and North Melbourne Football Club.

I'm weird, and some say unpatriotic, but I don't cheer for whomever is racing from my country. I cheer for the underdogs, or people I think should win the medal just because they're cool. My current hero is Oscar Pistorius, I know he didn't win any medals, but I cheered whole heartedly for him and think he should be an inspiration for us all.

As an Aussie I love to see the underdog win too. But I'll never go against my team though.

I rooted for Australia a lot. Didn't you win a few indoor cycling medals?
