Beat the game on critical lv1 (via the zero ability). I tried this with proud mode and found one major problem. DROPS! It just makes you have to beat the boss in a time limit. And from what I have seen in critical mode so far (not a lvl 1 run and currently on fantasia) it seems like it would be near impossible. Drops just change everything.

 

So.. Has anyone been able to successfully do it?

I'm almost there. I have videos up in the video section of me attempting Ansem Form II at level 1 Critical Mode.

If your problem is the Drop Gauge, then install one Drop-Me-Not Command on your Command Deck.

If you're still level 1 but use the strongest keyblade and drop decelerator you might not even need a Drop-Me-Not during boss battles.

Oh. I didn't say I was gonna attempt that yet. I'll probably go for it once I finish the regular critical mode. And I am using the drop me nevers and definitely plan to for when I ACTUALLY DO go for crit. lvl 1. I was just wondering If anyone had done it yet.

You have access to 2 Drop-Me-Nots per battle scenario. If you fill your gauge before the boss battle you'll still have 2 available during the boss battle. Shouldn't need to go through the trouble of getting Drop-Me-Nevers.
