Kara walked on the sidewalk to the school, a new school. Psyche, the god of Souls had made this school. The teachers are practically fallen angels that fought in the Great Soul War five hundred years ago. Kara's blue shard lit up slightly as she entered the school, her walking causally to her class room. "Karasu Suzaku, come with me to the office!" the principal yelled from the door. The whole class laughed. Kara slowly got up and walked out of the room, and in three muinets, she was sitting in the principals office. "Kara! You are one of the chosen. Go along and make friends that were chosen by the Godess of Souls and go capture demons!" the principal yelled. Kara just nodded and walked back to her class.

(Tsk we're getting nowhere here. I have near certainty that she is hiding a few things from me. Still though, she acts to me....like a sister.)

 

My shard reacted violently. It showed Kara, she collected a soul? I don't even know if I...would ever do such a thing, evil soul or not.

"My nickname in middle school was Grim Reaper and that made me a target for these people, and they started attacking me for no reason ever since its been one fight after the other..." I saw Kara obtain a loose soul and my shard glowed for a second, "Hey....Kara you ok?"

" what did kara just do?" Matches hasn't seen anyone in his life do that before. " Hey zero what just happened?" My shard glowed a bit when it happened. Crazy.

I looked back at Matches, "She obtained one of the lost souls." It was all I could say..

" Lost souls" Matches pondered at what that might be

I talked to father as I looked at Kara, "Are those the souls you where talking about?"

"Yes son, The goddess of souls asks you to be one of the ones to get the souls back."

"Why me?"

"Remember you can sense lost souls."

"Well when I.......show my eye..."

"You can trust these people."

"How do you know."

"Their hearts are true."

".......fine....I'll do it."

Kira looked down. "I don't.... Remember...." she said. She looked at her shard. 'maybe this.... Can show me....?' she thought. "no.... It can't..." she said discouragedly.

Matches seems to understand a little bit of what's going on. 'So are the people with these shards the only ones that can save the lost souls? where can we find more of these souls and how much are there?" Matches feels the need to help these people in recovering the lost souls."hey guys, whatever you people are doing I want in. I feel a special connection between you guys. Like it was fate that brought us together."

"....Okay, that's ENOUGH!" I burst into a rage from stress causing chaotic fire to blaze and dance around me. "Kira...I'm sickbof this, but you know what? Whatever happened back here, whatever you wont tell me, right now NONE OF IT MATTERS! Kira...I promise you...we WILL regain your memories, but what happened here with you, and what happened with my parents so long ago, SHOULDN'T BE HOLDING US BACK!" I started to calm down, the fire turned to ice and fell down to the garden. "I'm sorry Kira, but listen to me, right now memories don't matter. We should collect souls and worry about the future, not past. Still, we.will get you your memories." (Hecate was right, emotions will fuel my elements). "Do NOT be discouraged, if anything you should be ENCOURAGED. Psyche chose you for a reason, don't let me down."

Kara awoke, holding her head. "I don't think I will be catching a loose soul for a while." she laughed, looking over at the garden that Josh just exploded in. "Zero, you have a secret that your failing to tell us. You can trust us...we are somehow connected, like we knew each other in some passed life." Kara sighed, still looking at the garden.

"Kara, you blacked out? What am I going to do with you two girls?" I remarked. "I'm still curious, why don't I have the same deja vu as you guys do?"

"Yes. I blacked out. I captured a loose soul" she snapped, looking at Josh.

I knew some one like Kara would figure out things easily, "I..............ask..Josh he'll tell you."

"So that's why my shard shook so much. Aside from the blackout how did it feel? I don't know if I can stand taking a soul from someone."

"What do we do with the loose soul, kara" Matches really wants to know what's going on so he can do his part in all this too help. Matches ponders upon himself. Will he ever do that? Could something go bad if it were to happen to? Matches doesn't seem to have deja vu either. But something with his shard happen. What was that all about?

"Taking a soul from ones body...It's horrible, the shock is overwhelming." Kara sighed, looking down. "Don't worry Zero, I really can't trust a lot of people, so I know how you feel." she said to him.

I looked up at Matches. "Another one needing an explanation...*sigh* here goes. So this all began with Psyche, the god of souls. Psyche noticed many loose, evil souls in the world. So Psyche kept half of her soul, turning the other half into a crystal. Tje crystal was then split up into several different colored shards; those shards would choose worthy people to capture these evil souls and return them to Psyche. Based on what Psyche's done to their soul though, I've theorized a logical...hazard. I believe, if we take too long to return the souls, the soul of Psyches shards, being a god's soul, will overwhelm us and we would all, become individual Psyches. This hasn't been proven, but its perfectly plausible...."

" So i guess we are all the chosen ones. So it our duty to find these loose souls. Josh do you know where we can manage to find all these loose souls?" Matches begins to understand everything and knows what must be done. He knows what his duty is and what he must do in order to help. "josh, what if a evil soul possesses one of us? What will happen and how could we save the person?" Matches seems a bit worried about what might happen

"Finally someone a bit more interested. First question; only us with the shards can detect the evil souls. The shard, when near a loose soul can turn your brain a bit...metal detector-like. Basically you will KNOW when an evil soul comes. As for your second question, reverting into your normal self would be very risky. You would have to perform the same technique Kara used to take a soul, however you'd stop mid-way releasing the evil soul, rather than both. Whoevers most skilled would be the one to do it."

Kara deserved to know.... "I am the son of Death......" after I told her I didn't pay much attention to Matches and Josh already getting the information from father...

Kara looked down. "Sorry." she said, putting a hand on his shoulder. "We all have our life." she sighed, sitting down. Kara knew she couldn't lose herself yet, she had to keep her tears back, she promised herself not to cry. "Well, I should be seriously getting home." Kara said, looking left.

"No Death is a kind father he is the only father I can trust...and dosen't......" I saw she was holding back tears, I took her hand and pulled her over to me her face in my chest. And I started petting her head, letting her cry. This was how Death comforted me in my mind, and hopefully my banadges were tight enough so she wouldn't find out....

"Yeah same here, Kira. I need to get home. Plus, there are things I must ask Hecate." *I threw two books toward Zero and Kara.* "Study up on those will you? Zero find out more on your father, Kara considering you've captured a soul, you may understand Psyches book quite well." I grabbed my other books and went to see Hecate. Where she was at...would it be my 'home' for any longer?

Kara was thankful Zero let her cry. He was the one she could show her feelings around. Kara stopped crying, realizeing that Zero didn't really care about his life because it was probably as screwed up as hers was.

"I don't want to live, but its not like I can die...." Once she stopped I patted her head a got the books handing hers.
