(*I will be talking about myself and problems I'm facing in 3rd person. Also I apologize if the way I pretty much ask for advice is somewhat weird, I just find this easier for me to type/re-read. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated
You have 2 months to complete work over the summer before school starts. You realize that waiting till the last minute to get everything you need and doing it will cause you nothing but stress and anxiety. Realizing this you get the things you need ahead of time and set up a schedule in order to break up your work into manageable tasks that can easily be accomplished. So what happens next? You let your time dwindle to the point where you have less than a week to do something that could have easily even completed weeks ago.
Your friend asks you if you want to hang out at their house on the weekend and you say yes, however you need to let your mom know about it and be sure that she is ok with that. To make matters worse, you're a guy, and your friends a girl. Afraid to ask if it would be ok because you think that your mom will be against it because she's a girl, you tell you're friend you can't hang out with them.
You want to be more sociable, a people person. You initially want to be friends with everyone and want people to see you as a nice and kind person who is fun to be around. However, you remember how almost no one wanted to befriend you or be around you because of who you are, how you look, how you act, and that remberance of how things use to be keeps you from being that person you aspire to be, because you want to be accepted by everyone. So what do you do instead? You keep to yourself, you don't put your opinions out there, you don't show people the real you, and you wonder why you feel like no one will truly accept you, for you haven't truly accepted yourself.
There are so many things that you want, and need, to do, but you don't do them. Why don't you do them? Are you scared of the outcome? Afraid of rejection? Failure? Afraid of being viewed in a way unfavorable to you? Are you just waiting for the "right time" to do something? Why don't you just DO IT?! Why live your life wishing you would have done something before when you COULD HAVE?! What do you have to lose? This is what I want to know.
