In the new Naruto movie coming up in April next year (correct me if I'm wrong), the plot focuses on Naruto and Sakura being sent to an alternate timeline due to a jutsu by Tobi. One of the main differences from the OU (Original Universe) and AU (Alternate Universe), as we've seen, is that most of the usual cast of characters are going to be COMPLETELY different from their trademark personalitles...and by that I mean, they are going to have their personalities flipped. making them the "opposite" versions of the characters we see them as, normally. Information of these flips has been shown in the trailers that have been released for the film as well as Episode 271 ("Road To Sakura") of Naruto: Shippuuden and Episode 17 ("Road to Guy! / The Amazing True Story of the Leaf Village Film Festival!") of Rock Lee And His Ninja Pals (the latter not really explaining the plot (as the show is pretty random), but it promotes it never the less).
Here's a breakdown of the personality flips: Sasuke never left the village, remained a good guy, and thus developed into a playboy () (SasuSaku fans...FANSERVICE TIME. (I'm no SasuSaku fan, I'm just saiyan)), Hinata is not shy and modest, but rather aggresive and revealing (but she still has a thing for Naruto) (, look out Naru), Ino is a conflict avoider instead of a conflict starter, Chouji is anorexic (not really, he's just taking a page out of Part I Ino's traits), Shikamaru is a clown (), Neji is a perv ( XD), Kiba is a cat person ( XD ), Shizune and Tsunade switch business roles and Shizune outranks Tsunade in cup size () (And I guess Shizune is the Fifth Hokage instead of Tsunade? Hmm...) and....that's about it. We don't anything about Lee, Guy, TenTen, or Shino yet (Even though Guy is in one of the posters, let me know)
(Side Note, just because I feel like explaining the rest of the plot: The only changes besides the personality flips are that Minato never became the Fouth Hokage and never gave his life, along with his wife, Kushina, to save Konoha (Note: Naruto gets to interact with the AU couple, which I think is AWESOME! ),. Instead, Sakura's parents (who are finally getting some screen time), Kizashi and Mebuki Haruno (Kizashi being the Fourth Hokage instead of Minato) are the ones who died (I'd feel sympathy for Sakura....but....eh.)....and, I guessed, they sealed Kurama inside Naruo instead of Minato? Y'know, come to think of it, that sounds like a dick move...but then again, the Naruto of that time IS evil and named Memnas....ah, well, the movie isn't even out, so I guess we'll get our answer either when it releases or when more plot points start rolling in. Speaking of plot points, how the f*ck did Memnas fuse with Tobi? Oh, wait, I'm speculating again, never mind....)
But enough review, let's get down to the real point of this thread, where I give to you a propostion: putting the new/changed characters in a video game.
Now, for those of you that just said to yourself "That's a dumbass idea, you dumbass", and I KNOW you're out there....(no names)....but let me explain.
Fisrt off, YES, this would be just for lulz. After all, If Kishimoto wants to promote this movie, why not do it through video game format? He already did a manga one-shot and made filler episodes for Shippuuden and that Rock Lee show, so why not?
Besides, wouldn't it be hilarious to play as Playboy Sasuke or Tough Hinata? HA!
Or what about playing as Kushina or Sakura's folks? (if they get a spot (I think Kushina should, considering Kushina's never been in a video game) (Also, techically speaking, since Kizashi is the Fouth Hokage in the AU, that means he has some fighting prowess. I think Mebuki is a Jonin before she dies, too.)
Of course, I wouldn't force this on a game, for those of you who think this movie's gonna suck, so just in case, I'd recommend putting them as DLC packs, just to vary the options. (There might be a few considering the amount of new characters (AU Sasuke + AU Hinata + AU Ino + AU Chouji + AU Shikamaru + AU Kiba + AU Neji + Memnas + AU Kushina + AU MInato (if there needs to be, considering his Jonin Outfit would be able to suit, but I digress) + AU Kizahsi + AU Mebuki = ....12 characters in total (or more, if more characters are announced). So either they're released in 3 packs or 4 packs....but yeah, it seems legit.
The only other factor to be dicussed to how these characters play....
So for the characters that are personality flipped, how about we flip their fighting styles, too? This'd mean Sasuke would probably be more calm and graceful with his Taijutsu, Hinata would be more agressive with her's (Maybe taking influence from the "Awakened" Hinata's playbook. That's a character from the Clash Of Ninja series, by the way. It's basically Hinata in her Byakugan state acting like Neji did in the Chunin Exams Arc / Invasion Of Konoha Arc, being all arrogant and prideful of the fact that she's from the Hyuga Clan's main branch family and all that.) As for characters like Ino and Chouji, who are kinda hard to figure out since one's a pacifist and one's just anorexic (JK. lol)....uh, I guess make Ino's style more like OU Hinata (notice how Ino and Hinata are polar opposites, and them switching it up in this movie is pure irony? ) and Chouji, I guess can ease up on the Expansion Jutsu stuff and use other methods.
The others are pretty simple: Kiba uses his Akamaru cat and shiz, replacing the dog/wolf related stuff with cat related stuff....Shikamaru would probably still use Shadow Possession, albeit in a more lulzy fashion....I think Shizune would have Tsunade's strength while Tsunade would stay as a support-only (by OU Shizune logic)....Neji would be interesting to see, since we haven't seen a lulzy character using Byakugan / Gentle Fist, however that would work. lol
As for the non-flipped characters, I'm gonna say that Memnas is gonna have some Tobi moves with him, plus whatever an evil Naruto would use.....Minato would just stay the same, and be excused through his Jonin Outfit self (unless I'm forgetting a change in him...if I am, tell me in the comments)....Kushina I think would be the same as an OU Kushina, considering she didn't technically fight anyone in the OU (except for a couple of fistfights when she was a kid), so yeah.....and I leave Kizashi's and Mebuki's style for speculation / actual details from new info. or the actual movie, since the only thing we know is that they died stopping the Nine-Tails.....
One last thing: some characters should get new jutsus. All I can say is different personalities = different techniques, so we might have to switch some things up or take some things away(i.e. Sasuke relies on the Sharigan instead of his Curse Mark, Amaratseu, or Susano'o OR Hinata can use Eight-Trigrams: 64 Palms instead of stopping at 32, maybe even going to 128.)
