Was there a specific moment you remember when you could hear music for the first time?

For me, I could always sing music, and play music, and listen to music, but I never heard music until I was in the seventh grade (late bloomer, I know). My friend said she had this really cool song, and I was all "whatever..." and then she made me listen to it, and for the first time, the music spoke to me, and I understood it. I guess you could call it a sort of epiphany. Do you understand what I mean? Ever since then, I've kind of fancied that everyone is kind of like a song, and when you hear music you really like, it's because it harmonizes to part of the song that is you.

So I guess what I'm getting at is that I'd like to hear what piece of music spoke to you for the first time, if you had a moment like I did. (Bahahaah! Let me listen to your soul!!!)

(And if you're curious as to what my song was, here it is:http-~~-//youtu.be/d4U9Boc7DLA . Laugh if you will...)

What really got me into music is "Bring me to Life" by Evanescence and ever since then, I completely fell in love with the genre of rock, heavy metal, and alternative rock <3

Amy Lee's voice is so angelic and amazing I don't ever stop listening to her songs^^

I've played instruments since the age of 10, but I never really took much notice of other music until I was 14.

I guess my first time was probably Linkin Park's song "In the End." I was in my 5th grade music class and we were allowed to bring in a CD for the class to listen to a song from it. Well I didn't really listen to music back then, but one kid in my class brought in Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory and I heard that song. I fell in love with it and my dad bought me the CD and then he got me Meteora shortly after. xD

I recall that I got my first CD on age of 4 or something. That was kinda the first time when I remember the songs I listened. This was probably my favourite song back then:

Then I started to watch those TV shows where they showed newest songs and after some time my father bough Iron Maiden's Number of Beast album and that was when I raelly got in the music

I totally get what you mean.

But sadly, I don't even remember the name of the song :/
