Basically, some idiot girl injured a few people in a DUI, and then posted a Facebook status saying

 

'My dumb bass [sic] got a DUI and I hit a car…LOL'

 

The judge ordered her to take down the post, and when she didn't, she got 48 hours in jail for contempt of court.

 

Now I know she was being a dumb bass, but is the judge overstepping her power? The Facebook post was insensitive, but it wasn't illegal.

She was mocking her own violations of the law like it was a joke so I'd say no.. Its bad enough she committed the crime let alone acting like it was a big joke. She couldve killed someone . There are times when you need to take your own actions seriously and this is one of them . I say she deserved it but thats just my opinion.

I don't know if it is legal, but i'm guessing it is bc the judge did it and nothing was done to stop it .If it was illegal im sure her lawyer wouldve objected.
