The setting is in a small town in Iwoa. It is night time, a teenage girl was walking down a sidewalk. She saw the local towns people walking home, but she kept her distance from them because she was very shy and not the one to be very social.

"I don't need any protection, especially from you." Jo said.

 

"I am in no need of a bodyguard. I am a tough girl who can handle herself." Aurora said.

Red kept on running but running out of breath.

Draco snapped his fingers and an archer fell out of the tree behind Aurora. "Then i'm guessing you saw that archer behind you?" asked Draco as he walked over and kicked the archers corpse.

 

"Yeah, right, remember that when you've got a sniper aiming at your head." said Max.

"Well maybe I didn't see it, but it wouldn't be able to harm me." Aurora said.

 

"Well, just don't expect me to just go along with all of this. I have a life, unlike some people here." Jo said.

"Pfft, right, i've heard that speech before, take a guess what happened to that guy....look, not to be rude or anything, but like it or not, i'm sticking with you, you'll need an extra pair of eyes." said Draco.

 

"Hey, i have a life, do you even know how hard it is to be an assassin?" asked Max.

"Do you know how hard it is to be the shy kid that doesn't fit with the incrowd?" Jo said.

 

"I really don't need help, I will be just fine. Plus where I am going, you don't ever want to go near." Aurora said.

"Well, shyness you can overcome, it's not hard making friends when you're shy.....who'd ever want to pal around with someone who kills for a living, that's why i moonlight as a street magician, at least people stick around for a while." said Max.

 

"Please, i've been to hell and back, literally, what could be worse than that?" asked Draco.

"I'll make you a deal, stay out of my sight, if I need you then I'll call for you, then I will meet you after school tomorrow." Jo said.

 

"The man of the shadows" Aurora said.

"Deal.....but NO ONE must know that i'm still in town, for now anyway." said Max.

 

"The man of shadows, sounds like a reject from Rumpelstiltskin's gang." said Draco.

"Don't worry, what would I be able to tell people, an assassian is protecting me, I don't think people will believe that." Jo said.

 

"The man of shadows is worst than Rumpelstiltskin. He lives in the total shadows of the night and his deals are worst than anything Rumpel came give out." Aurora said.

"Ha, i've known people who've believed crazier things, ha, one time i killed a guy by convincing him a demon was inside him, he jumped right into the grand canyon, my best act ever, if i may say so." said Max.

 

"Please, i fought in the sky mystic war, that lasted over a hundred years, what could this guy do that's worse than that?" asked Draco sarcastically.

"You are silly" Jo laughed.

 

"This person can get into your head, make you believe anything is real. He once killed a guy by just a simple word. But I have to go see this guy, he is my only key." Aurora said.

"Meh, come's with the magician part of the job, anyway, we'd better vamoose." said Max.

 

"Then i'm going with ya, if what you say is true, you'll need a mystic with you." said Draco.

"Yes, we'd better." Jo said.

 

"I really don't need anyone to come with me, espically one that doesn't even know why I am going to see someone like him" Aurora said walking off with her basket in her hands.

"Right, lead the way." said Max.

 

"Well, regardless, i'm going with ya, you have no clue what else could be lurking here, trust me, the last time i was here i was chased by three ogres and a baby....a-thank you." laughed Draco.

Jo walked home until she reached a small white house on the corner of a street. "This is my home" she said.

 

 

"Fine you can come with me, but I alone have to speak with the shadow man, got it?" Aurora said.

"Right, well, i'll see ya tomorrow." said Max. Max then snapped his fingers and disappeared in a puff of smoke, you could hear his laugh in the air as he did, his laugh seemed to be echoing throughout the sky.

 

"Yeah, yeah, i got it, sheesh, my father in the heavens said that people of the surface were grouchy sometimes." said Draco, whispering the last part so Aurora wouldn't hear.

"I AM NOT GROUCHY! I AM ON A DEADLINE!" Aurora yelled at Draco.

"Wait a minute, how'd you hear that last part, that's kinda creepy." said Draco.

 

Max woke up the next morning and was ready for another day of running, hiding, and if needed, fighting. "Man, i hope things aren't that crazy today." said Max.
