If not, Sora owes 2 thank you's. He's gonna be in debt soon, if he doesn't get his stuff together.

Thank you Lea for saving Sora.

Good Things Axel Has Done:

Committed suicide pointlessly in KH2 for no reason other than to show off (Sora says "We cna take em." axel says "Watch this!"

Saved Sora in DDD

Bad Things Axel Has Done:

Manipulated Sora in castle Oblivion

Killed all other Organization members, including non-traitors. Not only is this incredibly murderous, it help make Xemnas/Xehanort's plans go much more smoothly.

Manipulated Riku Replica into killing Org Members, fighting Riku, and ultimately dying

Attempted to turn Sora into a heartless to get Roxas back

Kidnapped Kairi

Manipulated Namine

Lied to Roxas

Went along with Xion despite knowing the truth about her

Tried to kill his best friend when his memory was lost

Tried to kill his friend when he got him memory back

tried to stop Sora from waking up

was always there to bring his friends back... to the Organization

Currently all of his actions have been decided by selfish desires

Axel has far from clean hands

In fact, I think I'm forgetting some things

He only killed Vexen...?

He manipulated replica riku into killing zexion because zexion was catching on that Axel was planning something and if he had survived CO things would of been very different in KH2.

He SAVED Sora from Marluxia and Larexene in Castle Oblivion.

He never manipulated Namine, he let her go she was Marluxias prisoner and marluxia thought axel had his back.

I could go on...

Anyway all those "Selfish" actions were to protect someone. IE his friends. Remember Axel was a nobody he didnt have emotions and he didnt care for sora while Roxas and Xion were running around as long as they were safe.

What makes Riku and Axel so different?

Riku did alot of bad things to protect Kairi in KH1. He did things that hurt people in Days. He killed organization members.

mindfiretruck when lea whips out a keyblade. you can just learn how to have one?

can we just take a second to reflect on, in Dream Drop Distance, King Mickey would probably be still in a pickle about wether to give Maleficient the information to all the worlds and lose Minney or to let the fate of the worlds get into Maleficients hands and have Minney back if it werent for lea. AND at the end, sora would be lost in the darkness, with the Organization if Lea hadnt swooped in and saved him. this guy is amazing, no doubt

The first sentence I highlighted, yes I agree. I actually think what Riku did in KH1 was worse than what Axel did. Riku's actions were more out of his insecurities and jealousy. Axel's actions were more out of being scared of Xemnas and wanting to see his friends.

The second sentence, WTF? When?

The third sentence, Sora killed way more Organization members than Riku.

No. No he did not. Maybe data sora will be the one doing all of the thank yous. like with namine

Even though Lea didn't get Sora's thank you,he WILL get his thanks from someone that resides in Sora's heart,if you know what i mean...

Lea's trying to right his wrongs. And besides, when he was in the organization, his intents were never bad. He thought he was doing the right thing. Only after he knew what was really going on did he change his mind. So there opretty much even with each other.

And i like that he has  keyblade now, opens up alot of ideas.

It wasn't necessarily that Axel didn't know he was doing wrong, it was more that he didn't care, because he didn't have the heart to. Roxas and Xion did help change that though.

I feel like Lea has Sora's gratitude; Yen Sid formally acknowledge that if it wasn't for Lea, they would've been screwed, so that's thanks enough. Sora just hasn't had the chance.

Axel's sacrifice...seemed very unnecessary and out of place. Like they just needed to get rid of him in an emotional way, even if it didn't make a lot of sense. I mean, they were fighting dusks for crying out loud...

I think the fact that Axel was a nobody for most of the bad things he did sort of absolves him of most of his actions. The fact that he jumped in and saved Sora the way he did completely clears him in my mind. Riku has certainly done worse and paid less.
