Data transfer?

Ok so im getting a ps3 of my own because im tired of playing my dads "safe" system so im getting my own. Only issue is that all my game data is saved on that ps3. His is an old one that doesnt have the memory card slots or anything data like in that matter. How can i transfer my save data from his ps3 to my soon to get new one? Note: i dont have any slots except to USB slots and ethernet cable things. I kknow most systems have that flap to open for SD cards but this one doesnt. How do i transfer without SD cards?

    I think the only way you can do it is to get Playstation Plus and save your data online..

    There is a way to transfer data between PS3 systems... but I never looked into it. It's one of the options under Settings on the XMB I think...
