Ramble #1 no these won't always be about politics

So I love CNN, and my CNN app hates me and never updates, so I end up reading articles from last year or even 2010 sometimes. And there was one comment that really caught my attention, and then made me want to go rage at the woman who said it. To sum it up, she said the US should work with the United Nations, and we should accomplish "pooled sovereignty". The idea of "pooled sovereignty" is honestly ridiculous. Sovereignty is basically the power a country has over itself. How can you pool this? It's yours. It's not the kind of thing you share. That's like us going over to the terrorists and being like, psst, dude, you want to share weapons? Pretty sure we don't want them getting their hands on any of our technology.

I mean, what bugged me is just how stupid this is. Also she's probably a liberal, because liberals are the ones saying "LOL LET'S GIVE UP CONTROL OF OUR COASTLINE TO OTHER COUNTRIES", and in a lots of cases, "EW GUNS". Would you really want someone else to run your life for you? No wonder we're in decline. With people like this in the nation, how could we not be?

Now, before anyone comments or anything, I DON'T MEAN TO START A DEBATE. Let's seriously not get into this. It's just me venting my feelings and voicing my thoughts on things. If you disagree, I don't mean to insult you in any way.

edit: I was told to mention that I don't hate liberals, I just disagree with some things they believe. I lean more conservative, but I do agree with some liberalist beliefs.

Ramble #2

Everyone knows the UN is corrupt. And to a certain extent, all alliances/governments/ect. are, but the UN is the one the US as a nation should be the most concerned about. They're trying to get so much power over us--control of our borders, our judicial system, even our right to war--and yet they're so corrupt? At some point, shouldn't we as a nation be like, uh, no dude, you're too corrupt for us. Yet here we are, giving them as much power as ever, and contemplating handing over even more. So doesn't this raise the question, why are we putting up with their corruption? Obviously we're encouraging it. In turn, if we're encouraging it, is our government even more corrupt than anyone realizes?
