Well this is a long story, but just to get to the point: At lunch today my friend told me that my crush likes girls. I haven't been sad about it since I don't even know it's true. But if it is I dunno how to deal with it :/

she's the only person I've been letting myself have great feelings for.

We haven't done anything actually serious in any way, so It's not like this is something majorly terrible.

My friend sounded really serious when she said it

How do you know he's telling the truth? Does he have proof?

Well I don't have proof

so that's why I'm trying to not get too much into this

but at the same time what she said doesn't rule out to be completely invalid

*just realizes your friend is a she* Oh.

But yeah, I don't think a friend would joke about something like that. Maybe you could try talking to your crush?

How diid your friend get the information?

And if the information is true then I guess that could be a bit hard to deal with at first but over time it'll get better.

If it doesn't appear to be a joke talk to your crush about it. If it turns out to be the real deal I would suggest licking your wounds and move on. You can still be her friend of course but stop trying to be anything more. Don't even tell her how you really feel because she definitely won't feel the same way and things will only become awkward between you two. If she's bisexual you may be fine (if your alright with her also being attracted to girls) but for the most part, try to set the record straight.

My friend and I discussed this for a bit and she's serious. I'm sad again

Better find a new crush.

The only thing is to support her decision and continue to be her friend. Don't be another person towards her.
